I'm certainly glad this isn't being released on my birthday.

I'm getting the combo pack so I can see the opening scene of Part: 2, which is only exclusive to the combo pack. Sure it will be on Youtube, but u won't be able to see it in 1080p quality, lol!! Plus, it's continuous with Half Blood Prince

Plus, you don't get the PIP with the single disc edition. If the single disc came with the PIP I would just get it, but no such luck.

True, Part: 1's PIP actually looks really good, and rather enjoyable. I haven't watched too many PIPs from HP because my BD player, when set to PCM, makes DTS-HD audio 7.1, no matter if it's 5.1 or 6.1, it's a Panasonic. But I've heard the new ones don't do this, so I may pick up one of those, anyways, I think this PIP looks good!!

I didnt buy it, it was marked 37.99, and it was in a glass case, but the slip was not lenticular, if i recall correctly, it had an almost brushed metallic look.

Well the transfer sounds incredible (excellent PQ and AQ). Great review and I can see why fans would be more divisive with this installment; I, however, absoultely love it and find the darker, more mature tone and slow, character moments satisfying. The extras sounds great as well and I am now super eager for this release.

I completely agree with ya sir! At my university, we had a screening of Part 1 in DVD quality and was very impressed with what I saw. Now with great reviews for the Blu-Ray, I'm a very happy camper!!! I was a bit disappointed with HBP because of the greenish filter that was put on the film. Part 1 feels more raw and has a lot more "real" feeling colors

I got my combo disc today and here is a breakdown of the sneak peek for part two:

[Show spoiler]The promotional piece runs similar to the one found on the Half Blood Prince blu-ray release from Christmas 2009. It runs 4 1/2 minutes (the scene itself is about 2 1/2 minutes) and has an intro by the producers and director. The scene in question takes place right after Dobby is buried. Harry is in the house on the beach talking to Mr. Ollivander (John Hurt) about the wands and the Deathly Hallows. There are also a ton of clips scattered about from the second film shown quickly a la a trailer. Can. Not. Wait!
