My melee character took far longer to beast out, had about 75% of all main and side quests done before he became pretty much invincible. I hadn't even made it out of the whiterun valley by the time my mage was beasting.

When you were a melee character, what was your weapon of choice??

I still use my (un-enchanted) skyforged steel greatsword.

Is level 50 the last level? If so I have to carefully plan out what my last 11 perks will be.

I'm not fighting. I'm saying you shouldn't let the man oppress your choice of dress, man. Fight the power. But me and my armor wearing mages will totally beat your naked mages any day. Just name the time and place!

My weapons of choice are Daedric Sword(legendary) in 1 hand, Daedric Dagger(legendary) in the other, and both enchanted with absorb health and fiery soul trap.

The guidebook says there is no maximum level to obtain. Whether there's actually a cut off to leveling or not, I haven't found that yet in the book. It does say that it would take someone to level 80 to level up all skills to 100. But then it warns not to play that way and just focus on the skills you actually use, as there's no benefit in the game to leveling abilities you don't.

The max level is currently 81.5 with the ability to have 100 in each skill.

It sucks that I went up the left side of the of the smithing skill tree. I thought I would be able to roll to the other side past Dragon armor but I guess I was wrong. I wish I would of read that somewhere before I started working on smithing. I guess there is always next time.

I had a daedric sword, forged with maxed out smithing, 4 pieces of smithing armor each at 28% smithing, and a maxed out smithing potion for i think 130% smithing ability. Then i enchanted it with fire and ice damage, each at 45 dmg i think.

I did hang on to he skyforge axe i had for a while though so that may have slowed me down a bit.

Well...looks like the civil war story line is F#c^ed for me.



Fort snow hawk is glitched beyond all natural glitch-icity. When I went back to an earlier save, Fort Sungard is even worse than it was before I fooled it into working for me.

At this point, I'm going to just enjoy what is left of the game and either hope for a patch or maybe start a civil war only story line.

My only problem with the game so far is the stiffness of the NPCs. It's hard to get into the story when it's only delivered through the somewhat mediocre voice acting of a stilted mannequin. Still though, I'm throughly hooked, just got the Ebony smithing perk.

Sweet that's good news! Thanks guys. I'll probably need to get to almost level 60 to max all the abilities I care about.

Really, I haven't gotten married yet. That was one of the things I liked about Fable 3 (and no, I'm not saying it's anywhere near as good as Skyrim) it was fun to have my wife and daughter find me in town and give me presents, it kind of allowed them to finagle a way into my heart.

I use the Skyforged War Axe enchanted with fire damage. I use the Daedric artifact mace for soul trapping. All are legendary, as well as the ebony bow I often use. I try not to carry any other weapons, and I only wear light armor, gilded Elven, glass or Shrouded or Thieves Guild sets. I sometime think about activating the Steed Stone and using heavy armor, but never do it.

Indeed, the marriage bit is pretty stupid. I thought Bioware's courtships were pretty lame. It would have been just as well to let you buy an Orcish slave. The game is so huge with so many quest lines, it would have been possible to pare down some other areas and expand on this and the domestic life (farming, milling, mining, smithing, enchanting, alchemy as a business, perhaps, with a real store front) with a real domestic quest line.

I continue to regret that character alignment (karmic tendencies) are not better incorporated into the game. The way this is designed, I will pretty much complete everything with one character and be so overfull of it all that I won't likely play again. It would have been much more interesting to have quest lines only available to certain ethnicities and with a certain alignment. For instance, a character leaning to neutral to good would never gain access to the Dark Brotherhood, while you could remain neutral but not too lawful to gain access to Thieve's Guild, and someone evil might never enter the Bard's College, or something like that.

I wouldn't enjoy limitations on quests availability or having to sit through the opening of the game multiple times.

Has there been an update at all lately? Ive stopped playing this game due to glitches that keep stopping me from finishing quests. very annoying and hoping it would be fixed...

I really have to agree with you on a lot of your points. I have a natural tendency to play my character as a "good guy" "hero of the people" type and there is NO WAY that character could have possibly done the daedric mace quest or the ebony mail quest. The choices you have to make in those particular two are just too dark and selfish.
