Almost Famous: The Bootleg Edition - General release Oct 4 - Blu-ray Forum

Cameron Crowe's acclaimed drama is planned for Blu-ray at the end of January.
Paramount is planning to release 'Almost Famous (Bootleg Edition)' on Blu-ray on January 30 exclusively at Best Buy.

The film stars Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand and Kate Hudson and was nominated for four Oscars -- winning Best Writing/Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for Cameron Crowe.
Specs, supplements, and suggested list price for the Blu-ray are still undetermined at this time.

The only way to watch this movie is in the Bootleg Edition. Those extra 30 or so minutes takes a really good movie and turns it into something special.

Best rock and roll movie I've ever seen. I've never been able to listen to Tiny Dancer the same way.

Day one purchase and viewing for me.

Will be curious to see if this gets a different master to the UK edition. I doubt it very much, but will be interesting to see.

I have the Japanese BD:

It says "Extended Cut" -- is this the same as the "Bootleg Edition" cut?

Both are 162 minutes.

I have had the UK version for probably 2 years now.

Ah, I can't wait for this. Definitely a stellar movie.

I really hope both the theatrical and extended cut is in this edition plus all the extras. I've held off from the UK edition specifically for the theatrical and missing goodies. If the bootleg edition is just the extended cut i'll buy the UK edition. Its cheap.

One of my favorite movies of all time. I'm happy with my UK edition. If you don't have this one already I would HIGHLY recommend it.
