I have wanted to make my own thread for a long time now but i never had the guts.

I just moved into my own place (apartment) with my fiance about a month ago and we have things semi set up right now so i thought i should start up a thread and update on my progress. As you will see it's not much to look at now and i need major cable management but i have plans for all this. Things i have planned are.

1. Cable management
2. A much better sound system becuase the soundbar is just an in-between.
3. A new entertainment stand for my TV, game systems, and other things.
4. Paint
5. Tons of posters and poster frames ( i have nice frames i saw that i want).
6. A bigger TV but that something i will always want.
7. My new Tivo set up ( the Comcast guy comes soon)
8. Whatever else you guys can recommend for me.

Looks like a good start but cable management, as you already know, goes a long way.

And good moring to you also. It will be a better morning for me when I get out of work. They say we may get out early but I doubt it. When I get home a got a few more pics I plan to post up. I also found out my nice new Tivo came to my parents yesturday so I can't wait to unpack it. Plus I would love to put time aside and look at and rate everyones HT set up. I have much to learn so seeing many awesome set ups will help. Either way though I have to get through work

Nice HT, and with a little time, I am sure you can clean up those cables.

If it helps, I am at work myself today, but I do get to leave a 3PM.....so maybe you too can get out of there soon......

Yeah the cables are something I plan to do soon. I work weedends so I may get around to it Monday because after 12 hours I'm pretty tired. Also I hope I can get out as early as 3 or so but I think I'm here for a whole day so 6:30 PM for me.

Well breaks over now darn it goes fast

take your time on your system, some things like cable management are easy to do, upgrading speakers should be made only after you have heard all the speakers you have access to, then get the ones you like best. That is what I did. I could only afford the front 2 speakers because they aren't cheap, but I will add a new receiver, center channel and TV stand as the money comes around.
