Awful film had to turn it off after 40 minutes.

Jack Burton
: When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

AWESOME movie and I'll definitely get it on Blu-ray once it's available for less than $20. I'm very much looking forward to the soundtrack on this one! My neighbors will think there's an earthquake centered at my house!

And it has received quite favorable reviews:

I'll buy it if it drops under $20. Otherwise, I will wait it out.

I'm definitely renting this, the premise seemed silly, but I'm impressed by the surprisingly high marks it received from reviewers.

Rotten Tomatoes: Unstoppable

Review Aggregate: 86% Positive
Reviews Counted: 165
Fresh: 142
Rotten: 23

"As fast, loud, and relentless as the train at the center of the story, Unstoppable is perfect popcorn entertainment -- and director Tony Scott's best movie in years."

I saw Black Swan last weekend, which ranks among the best films I've seen from 2010, and it only got a 2% higher score than Unstoppable. Obviously they're totally different films, but I like an explosion-riddled popcorn film just as much as I love an artsy drama.

it's for talking about the actual blu ray release, not discussing the actual movie as to whether it's good or not. you're just trying to be a twit for the sake of it, like a little kid needing attention.

My post was for anyone who wanted to know was this worth a blind buy. If you like the boring premise of a train going fast down a track and random obstacles getting put in front of it and the hero a wife beater then knock yourself out.

No, your post was to wave your hands in the air saying "look at me"

On the whole the movie gets favourable reviews - your opinion is in the minority. Go away.

i personally think reviews and opinions should always go in the movie thread itself, not the bluray release thread.
besides i can never get these haters. if you don't like a film, why waist
even more time of your life posting in a thread about that film??
ohhhhh i see, to warn others! who are you, scientology on a mission!?
if you have nothing positive to contribute, sometimes its simply
better not to say anything at all.
democracy is often misunderstood. yes everybody is allowed to have
their voice, but that doesn't mean people need to constantly
speak and share their personal opinion

I missed this in theaters should make for a nice home theater experience.

Reminds me of that 80's film Runaway Train with Jon Voight & Eric Roberts
The "D" is silent, hillbilly.

And the guy didn't beat his wife, he didn't even hit her. He said he grabbed her while angry and that scared her. He repents for that.

great flick all the way through. incredible action. I loved it. I won't pay $28 for it though. If it won't drop below $25 by release date, I'll cancel and wait for it to drop
