Ite, you left off an important part of the description for The Ten Commandments about the gift set version:

"...the latter of which will include the silent version from 1923."

Great movie, but I think they should hire ILM to re-do the special effects because by today's standards most of the original FX are super outdated and weak. I am sure they could add new FX and still retain all of the live action footage. I also think Hans Zimmer should be brought onboard to create a new score.

So let it be written....

Spongebob and The Ten Commandments listed in the same sentence. Something just not right about that...

(C'mon, Paramount, you're still sitting on the 1973 Hanna-Barbera/Sherman Bros. cartoon, and it's one of your Family-catalog workhorses, what's the holdup??)

Awesome, I 'll have to triple dip on the SpongeBob Movie. My parents bought me the full screen DVD, then I bought the widescreen DVD. I can still remember watching the show premiere when I was just 5, loving it before the whole world did. I also remember this being the last part of the series I really enjoyed. Didn't expect to see it so soon, but I'm glad I am!

They could probably fix all the 'thous' and 'shalts' in the commandments themselves too.

I mean, who talks like that anymore???

Releaselists.com says that Charlotte's Web is in fact the 1973 Hanna Barbera version and not Dakota Fanning's 2006 version. Did some checking and both were released by Paramount so both are possible I guess. Also, same site says that the "gift set" for the Ten Commandments is a big 6-disc set and this is also evidenced by the fact that both versions are up on Amazon now and the "gift set" is listed as being $62.99(MSRP $89.99).

I hope Charlotte's Web is in fact the 1973 Hanna Barbera version.

Could be Release's confusion, which is very likely (most people don't even know there was a 2006 version, period, since it spent all of two weeks in theaters)--

The specific extras, which seem to come from the press release. all point to:
Quote:
Commentaries:
Director Gary Winick
Producer Jordan Kerner and visual effects supervisor John Andrew Berton Jr.
Sarah McLachlan, "Ordinary Miracle"
Bob Carlisle and Lucy Kane, "Make a Wish"
etc., which are all from the '06 film (as the cartoon version did not have Winick or visual FX supervisors).

I'd welcome any last minute change if the press statement says different, but the devil's in the details.

Most people don't know about the remake? I disagree. It made over 100 million worldwide and my mom actually owns the DVD lol.

Cannot wait for Ten Commandment, bet it'll look fantastic. And I actually wasn't aware that it was widescreen till I bought a red VHS box set of it at a thrift store a few years back.
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."
"Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?"

" I told you 158 times I hate little notes on my pillow. 'We are all out of Corn Flakes F.U.' it took me three hours to realize that F.U. stood for Felix Ungar."
