I hated FF XIII and cant even bring myself to touch XIII-2 at that price. It would literally have to be maybe like $5 or less

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

I've only played FFIII and FFXIII. I enjoyed both of those so I think I'll enjoy this one as well.

Fair warning: FFXIII-2 doesn't really play like any other Final Fantasy game. It's interesting in its own way, but feels more like Pokemon with real time combat than an RPG, per se.

That is exactly how my friend described it. Does it have any open world areas like FFXIII?

It does have a couple of large zones (the Archylte Steppe is back, more or less) but calling anything in either game "open world" is an insult to any game that actually has open world traversal (inFamous, GTA4, Batman: AC, Assassin's Creed, etc.).

Unlike FFXIII, you aren't tied down on training wheels for 3/4ths of the game, however. You gain the ability to backtrack very, very early on - and in fact there are times when you are required to do so to unlock new timelines and locales.

Gotcha. I was wondering if there are places like the planet in FFXIII where you fight alot of the monsters that are way too strong.

True, they are more linear games compared to many.

I'm about 10 hours into the game and I need some help. I am not understadning the best way to infuse my monsters. I just caught a Behemoth and I want to upgrade him.

1- What are the best ways to infuse. I thought I red somewhere that you should infuse Commandos with Ravengers?

2- What is the difference between Tame and Tamable? I have monsters that fall into both categories?

3-What is the best items to upgrade your monsters with? I know some will be better then others. Should you level both monsters before infusining them together?

It depends. Every monster has a specific lists of skills it learns naturally as it levels up, AND an invisible list of skills that it "can" learn through infusion from other monsters. Generally speaking, active attack skills like magic spells will typically only be inherited by monsters of the class that could normally cast them (so if you want to pass Blizzard, a Ravager spell, to a monster, it probably needs to be a Ravager type, though there are a few exceptions who can learn skills from other disciplines).

Tamable means that you "can" get a crystal to tame them, but you haven't done so yet. Tame means you've actually gotten a crystal at some point for that monster.

Monsters gain skills and stats as they level up, which improves what gets passed on when they're infused, so yes, all other things being equal, spending resources to level your monsters is worth it, particularly if they're going to learn a skill that you'd like to pass on.

In your example, you mention about thr blizzard spell. Am iinfusing an entire monster or just a stat. Also, some of my monsters still say tameable even though I have a crystal for them. done of the say tame.

You infuse the whole monster, but not everything will transfer over. Stats like Attack and Defense will always transfer over to some degree, but the active and passive skills may or may not, depending on whether the receiving monster can actually learn any particular skill.

Eh? If you've gotten a crystal from a monster, its bestiary entry will say "Tame". If not, it won't. Are you sure you're looking at the right entries? There are similar-looking monsters with different names and abilities.

The "Tameable" note is there to let you know if you can get a crystal from a particular monster at all.

Honestly, I think the best thing to do is to not fuse anything until you get top tier monster (the earliest one you can get is probably Cloudburst). Until then, just catch and use whatever monsters are available.

Ok, I think i understand. You were right, I was looking at the wrong spot for the tamed/tameable stat.

What is a TOP TEIR monster. I have a bohemeth and they have some pretty strong attacks as I understand. He would be my commando unit. What items do you use to upgrade. Is it best to use the items that help strength or magic; or the items that increase the biology of the monster?

This is a pretty good list of the best available monsters.

After playing this for awhile, I am officially stuck. I have no idea what to do. I have tried to check online and I either don't know how I am stuck and I can not seem to use google.

On a positive note, I have been enjoying the game.
