Default Dawn of the Dead 2004 Blu-ray lost in the Blue Lagoon

Being a fan of the Romero series of dead films and also actually liking Dawn of the Dead 2004 by Zack Snyder(no relation to Dee Snyder).

What happened to the extras?
Are they lost in the Blue Lagoon?
Could the Blu-ray not hold all the content like the DVD did?

Yes, it just doesn't make sense.

Yes folks, the Universal Blu-ray release of Dawn of the Dead does not have a lot of extras the DVD had? Why?

Missing in Action:

The Lost Tape: Over 15 minutes of Terrifying Footage revealed

Special Report: Zombie Invasion

Over 12 Minutes of Deleted Scenes

There may be more, so if I am missing anything or incorrect, please let me know!

What's the frequency Kenneth? There is so much missing from the Blu-Ray release that I feel you must be from an alternate reality. There is so much missing from the Blu-Ray release, I actually have the DVD too. Yes, it sucks to double dip, especially when the technology is actually there to include everything on the Blu-Ray. Thanks Universal!

Blu-ray 25GB

No room? Huh?

I just don't get how the reviewer could issue these immortal lines:

"In some form or another, the Blu-ray edition of Snyder’s ’Dawn of the Dead’ includes most of the production featurettes from the “Unrated Edition” standard DVD as well as the 2007 HD DVD..."

So the Blu-ray release of DOTD 2004 reminds of some good scenes from DOTD 1978 and thus is like having a can of spam without the key, having the money to buy a rifle without the skill to use it, or trying not to come back as a zombie as you say the lines "I don't want to end up like that!" Simply the situation stinks!

As the sheriff said in Night of the Living Dead 1968: "Yeah, they're dead. they're all messed up."

DOTD was released kind of early in the format when many Blus did not have all the extras the DVD did. Also it gives them an opportunity to do a rerelease sometime down the road with all the extras.

Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and things with... molecular structures

there are a lot of blu-rays that don't have the special features that their dvd counterparts do.

Independence Day and (i think) The Day After Tomorrow instantly spring to mind. and both of those films had 2-disc dvd editions! so imagine how much is missing there. doesn't happen as much now a days though.

does it suck? damn right. but just hang on to your dvd (if you own it) and keep it with the blu for the time being.

That stinks, the HD-DVD had them. Does the contrast seem a bit boosted in this version as well?
