they better not bring any of that BFBC2 BS in this(hit detection problems, lag, server issues ect..) i will be getting this first day regardless; im just sayin'. otherwise im excited **waits for closed beta invite**

hoping thats what the medal of honor pre-order limited edition gets me... it made false promises of such thing

Hopefully Medal of Honor Limited will get me my Beta code or that was a complete waste of 60 bucks. That game was absolutely horrible the code is the only good thing IMO. I am sure I will have this day 1, liked all the previous Battlefields so I am excited for this one.

I always loved Battlefield 2 on PC. Waaaay better than equivalent CoD... I'll be watching it closely, but leaning to getting it on PC if it's available that way

Wow! Plus, they are trying to do dynamic radiosity?! I can't wait to see this! If true, I think this will be one of the best efforts a MAJOR 3rd party dev has given a PS3 multiplat game.

They're simply two different games. Bad Company was created as an offshoot of Battlefield proper where the maps were smaller, the player count was lower and there were less vehicles to run on consoles.

Its too bad that for now they are saying 64 player maps are only on PC. I thought Resistance 2 had 64 players but Battlefield 3 sounds like there will be much more going on so 64 on console might be too much.

Yeah. I always loved flying the jets and driving the tanks. Especially with the jets, if you get in a groove you're unstoppable. I would get 70-80 kills and 0 or 1 deaths in a round with the J-10.

Dropping bombs and strafing guys is fun. Hope the maps are significantly bigger, though, so it's not a constant turning and bumping the boundary ends.

what modes of play does Battlefield usually offer. is it similar to the Rush and Conquest in Bad Company?

Zones is most common where you're fighting for Control Points.

I think you forget MAG has 256 player maps. However, the graphics on PC (high end textures with higher rez) could not be achieved with 64 players on the PS3. If they pulled back on the graphics, PS3 could certainly handle 64 players.

I think i remember playing some type of zone mode in Warhawk. i didnt really like it though. hopefully this is better

It's Conquest, but on a much larger scale with more cooperation between squads thanks to the Squad Leader and Commander roles.
