I see what you mean but I find it to usually be 1-shot kill with it, since I've usually wounded the enemy by the time I need the sidearm.. I'll try the G17C sometime - haven't used it!

Same with tanks if i see some kid destroying my team with a tank, guess what I stay away from the tank, and go to the other side of the map for cap points lmao running at it with an smg you deserve every death you get .

This is exactly how i feel and what i dont understand. I feel like i get put on the crappy team everytime! Theres a tank wrecking our team, but for some reason, the whole team feels the need to try and destroy the tank. Meanwhile, the enemy has all the flags and killing that tank isnt going to help sh*t.. So i run away and capture the flags but doesnt help when my whole team is doing nothing by getting killed over and over by the tank lol. its frustrating and makes me laugh at the same time. Are people really that dumb??

its not nearly as powerful as the .44, but it spits like a 3rd baseman

Its the unlock when you get 100 kills, on the primary weapons... I found it useful (somewhat like a cheat) when defending or running to capture flags, to spot the enemy. If i couldn't kill them, i'd get the team or squad spot bonus.....

Expansion pack is out on the 6th and that has the new weapons...details on getting them. From the Blog:

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is a huge expansion pack featuring four legendary Battlefield maps reimagined in the Frostbite 2 engine. Three new vehicles (the VSTOL fighter jet, Desert Buggy, and an APC), ten new weapons that you can bring back to the base game, and a new layer of persistence with our all-new Assignments make this a must-have for any Battlefield fan.



Our four new maps are Wake Island, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Strike at Karkand. Over the years these maps have been played billions of times and now they’ve been reimagined with the power of the Frostbite 2 engine. To top it off, we’re taking the level of destruction to the next level as well – entire huge portions of these maps can be razed to the ground.



We’re also introducing the Assignments system. For example, to complete the “Let it Rain” assignment players must score 20 kills with Light Machine Guns and two mortar kills. When you have met the requirements, you will unlock a new Back to Karkand weapon (with a matching set of dog tags) to use in Back to Karkand and the original Battlefield 3 maps, which will mix in server rotation. You will also unlock the next Assignment in the series, the new Creeping Death Assignment.

What they need to add is a n00b System. For instance on CQ, if the enemy team has all the flags, you try and get in a jet or helicopter, it blows up. You continue to try and do it, it blows you up and increases your respawn time. If you are in a jet and the enemy has all the positions, your jet loses all control, right over a control point, giving you enough time to jump out and capture. Its like one of those shock collars for dogs. Even a dog, after it happens a few times, realizes the message and adjusts their behavior. Start punishing stupid behavior like the dummies that snipe from their own spawn. You have 30 seconds to get out of the spawn or your soldier will take his pistol out and shoot himself, nothing you can do to stop it. I need to go work at DICE as an adviser, lol.

I think so, and its one of the reasons I don't die allot, I just try to look at whatever is going on from a logical standpoint some kids want to attack a tank with nades and smg's good luck I'll run to the furthest flag get it and run away again lol.

Anyone else having issues joining friends games since the patch?

I attempted to join about 5 peoples games last night for around 20 mins and the servers were full the entire time. I was jamming that X button for a good 5 mins too. lol

Havent tried but i would imagine if the match is full of people, your not gonna get in. But you would think you could que up somehow...

Actually I have a question about this. Does anyone know under what circumstances the queueing system kicks in when trying to join a match.

I do not know and have wondered the same myself. Sometimes it will queue you and sometimes it will not.

From what ive seen, and why i dont know and i could be wrong but it seems like when you try to join a server from the server list, if its full you have to join a que, but if you try to join a friends match, it doesnt. So maybe it has to do wtih if the game is already started or past a certain point it wont que?? i dont know, its strange.

ha, i will run to the flags for the most part too...but i also have this fixation on destroying tanks and jeeps....if there is a tank trying to take over one of my flags i am drawn to it....just love blowing them up so much lol !

anyway. finally got the A-91... liking it a lot....leaps and bounds better than the Scar i was using

also...when i change my kits under "my soldier" in opening screen...it seems like it never saves what i change around... is it something im doing wrong or does it have to be done during the game to save?
