Has anyone seen this? I am asking because I am thinking about getting this. It looks like something that I might like. I like stuff like this and sometimes watch stuff like this on the history channel. Plus it says it's 508 min on 3 Blu-ray disc for $17.49. I am going to read the reviews on Amazon to see what they say also. Anyways I am thinking about getting this with Alice In Wonderland 60th Anniversary Blu-ray and maybe Uncle Buck Blu-ray.

I saw the series but in standard (history channel here in Canada is not yet available in HD in Montreal), never seen the Blu-ray. I enjoyed the series, would not buy it but it was interesting.

My avatar will Wait Until Dark for a Roman Holiday since this world as War & Peace and it would be fun to actually have Breakfast At Tiffany's with My Fair Lady http://letterboxd.com/pat_mtl/ |

From my review:
"Avoid this! Before I purchased this, I looked on this site for any info. Nothing. So I decided to write this to warn others. This is standard definition material put on Blu-ray discs. You would not be able to tell whether you were looking at a dvd or blu-ray. The only thing of HD quality was the menu. This was produced in 1999 using now outdated info about ancient Egypt. I thought about keeping this for the information contained but even that is useless as there has been so much new info learned about ancient Egypt since 1999. I'll be returning this immediately." |

What a complete waste of a disk. I could live with an SD presentation but it sounds like this documentary is really bad so I will pass on this one. It's a shame because I really enjoy watching/reading things on ancient Egypt. I'd still like to get out there one day and see everything.
