Does anyone know if any release of Clockwork before the single disc blu ray had more special features?

I already own the film on Blu-ray, but I adore it so I may well be upgrading to the 40th Anniversary Edition. Mind you, if there really is another Kubrick set due for release later this year, I imagine the edition of ACO within it will be the Anniversary Edition.
UK BLU-RAY WISHLIST: Altered States - American Psycho - Assault on Precinct 13 ('76) - Boys Don't Cry - The Cable Guy - The Devils - Electric Dreams - Freaks

Oh, I rarely check the news
![]() Maybe this means the rumored Lolita and Barry Lyndon are coming closer to a release as well.

that's what I keep trying to figure out.
we all know there is this new restoration of Clockwork being shown at that film festival, but Warner doesn't seem to be making clear whether this is a new transfer or not. It will be really tragic if it is the same old transfer if there is a new one already in the can. I think the Digital Bits crew needs to get to the bottom of this. |

The Clockwork Orange set is nice but are thy going to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest it? (Same film using a bit less space on Special Edition, original release the film was given more disc space)
Stop the Replacing of original Studio Opening / Closing logos! These are becoming endangered and should be kept intact. They are part of film history.

I'd be all over this set if I didn't own all of the other films already. I do think that I'll double dip for the Clockwork Orange digi-book if it is indeed a new restoration.

if they are what you say makes sense for sure. But why aren't they just saying "all new 4k digital restoration" in the promo materials. seems fishy to me. EDIT: another member says that earlier Euro press did refer to a new transfer, so if that's true then happy day. Last edited by Arkadin; 02-15-2011 at 12:00 AM. |

I just worry we are gonna get another ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST. A New Edition with a longer making of, but the film gets less disc space consideration than the first release! I feel like WB's goes for the MINIMUM expectation.

Already have 2001, Dr. Strangelove, and The Shining, and the new Clockwork Orange digibook certainly looks intriguing. Not huge on Kubrick personally, so his other titles already released and separate releases of Lolita and Barry Lyndon aren't a high priority for me anyway. i can wait for those, but Clockwork will be mine!
