Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has given a June release date to this years 10x Academy Award nominated film True Grit. It is set to be a Combo Pack featuring the BD, DVD plus Digital Copy of the film.

Definite first day buy for me. This was my second favorite film released last year (after Inception). Really enjoyed the soundtrack too, it was a brilliant idea to "borrow" from classic hymns - especially "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms", used so chillingly in Night of the Hunter and so beautifully in True Grit. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing what special features are included, still waiting on the official announcement.

It's been forever since I've seen it, as I saw it mid December at an advanced screening. June seems like an awful long time....

I really hope it comes out sooner! I'll probably do a blind-buy on this one after seeing all the good reviews and I love the cast. The PQ looked great in the trailers, so hopefully we'll get a reference transfer.
