I'm always getting a bit jealous when I take a look at this topic.

One of the only companies in Belgium that gives us slipcovers now and then, is Disney. On the other hand, they don't give us BR-releases for 'Winnie the Pooh', 'Mars Needs Moms' etc. Sometimes Warner or A-Film has a slipcover, but not often. Steelbooks and things like that ... I don't think they know what that is overhere.

Sometimes I read complaints about details or the continuity and I'm thinking : "Hey, at least you get slipcovers!". This topic is how close I can get to slipcover-heaven. Take it from me : You are all very lucky to be able to get those North American releases with wonderfull slipcovers.

Can't you import from the US or UK? I felt like that's requests back, we hardly had many slipcovers in Australia but it has picked up a lot since then with at least 30% of titles having slips compared to about 8% in 2008. I'm sure Belgium media studios will pick up their act soon.
WTB:
Standard Blu's: Finding Nemo (non 3D with slip), same for Brave. Cars 2 3D with all discs. Disney 3D releases (G-Force, Chicken Run, Little and Meet the Robinsons etc.). Beauty and the Beast Xmas with slip.

One can hope. But I'm afraid the BR-sales aren't going up as fast as it should be overhere.

PS : Lots of the US is region A locked and doesn't have Dutch subs, UK is only an option when there are Dutch subs.

Fair enough. I personally think that for every Blu-ray film released and that has been released the studio should put online subtitles for every language, and when you connect the Blu-ray player online you cam select which one you want to download. That would be a smarter approach, perhaps they might implement that soon.

I think this will be a similar situation that we had with Wall Street 2.
Best Buy exclusive had the banner, the regular release did not. I like both actually.

I don't know why, but I really like the blu banners at the top and since Apes isn't as bright as previous releases I think I'll get it. Plus I like how the 3 disc packages have regular Viva Elite cases while the 2 disc packages have the eco cases.

Im not too fond of the eco cases. While im not a guy who hates them and has a huge rant about them, when i have one in my hand it feels unsturdy. Of course i dotn go to the extent of replacing them, but i would like a normal case more often.
Oh and yes, i too do like the blue banner on top, as long as its not too prominent and dosnt obstruct the artwork, im fine with them

They could've even had some fun by making them retail exclusive or something.
Well, I sent Universal an email asking them to send a fixed slipcover. Maybe if enough people request this they'd actually respond. So if more of you are annoyed enough by this, please contact Universal at the link below and request they provide a new slipcover for Fast Five with the V on the spine please.

I'm curious to what their response will be. I'll post back when/if I hear back from them.

Was able to get Water for Elephants from Best Buy yesterday. I'm surprised they sold it to me...but I had to pay full price. Awesome slip though!

The other release is only BD + Digital Copy and the one I posted is the Walmart Exclusive, BD + DVD + Digital Copy.

I assume that VUDU is only available through Walmart (they're the only place I've seen advertise it) and anywhere else is iTunes compatible. I'm not 100% positive as I've never used VUDU before

I really like the blue banner also. Since it's dark it doesn't stand out as much

Any time Walmart has had a VUDU digital copy sticker on the front of a release that already has an iTunes digital copy everywhere else, the VUDU copy has been IN ADDITION TO the iTunes copy, not in place of it.
