I got the Spidey Trilogy!! - Blu-ray Forum

Hi everyone. I'm new to the boards. I've been reading this board for a while now so now I thought it would be a good idea to register. One movie I hardly read about here is Spider-Man which is a Sony flick.

Anyone have ideas when it's coming out for Blu-ray?

Not soon enough.

Man, I wish the two Spideys had made it for Christmas. That would have been huge.

I know Sony really wants to get marquee titles like this out in full glory with BD java and all these other extra bells and whistles that only the BD format has.

The downside? We gotta wait.

The upside? It'll be shock and awe when those finally do come out.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these releases will be timed to coincide with the theatrical release of Spiderman 3. From a marketing perspective, you get more bang for your buck if you're hitching a ride on the momentum of a big release like Spiderman 3.

Boy, talk about a great birthday present for me! My birthday is May 6, so I could be rockin' for sure if that went down!

I can't wait for part three. I've watched those trailers a sick number of times.

Seriously though, I took an online survey that I believe Sony had sent to me and one of the questions was which titles I most wanted to have on Blu-Ray (or something like that) and it was a list of like 30 titles or so. You were forced to select only three. Spidey was on the list...you better believe I checked that box in a heartbeat

Dang. I wish it would have came out sometime before Christmas. I think it will definately be worth the wait though. All the extra added features as mentioned.

And as for part 3 I can't wait.

It's five months before May 6th. So by January, you'll hear rumblings. By February a confirmed release date. The BD releases, if Sony is doing its job right, will be sometime in April.

Welcome to the forums... yes, Spiderman 1 & 2 couldn't come soon enough... my DVD's have been scratched skip so I can't wait to get them on Blu-ray

oh, btw, does anyone know if the Matrix trilogy is going to be released on Blu-ray as well?

That depends on when those Profile 1.1 authoring tools are ready; I can't find any word on those.

I know u guys would probably be wondering that it doesn't come out for a month but over here it just came out today and i rushed to the local store and got the last box-set
THEY LOOK AWESOME

spidey 3 is the best of the lot, i might even like the movie now after watching it again
they've got different fast foward bar instead of the usual x30 and x120 on the PS3 and when u put the disc in the PS3 it says spiderman blu-ray i excited now gimme the matrix
