List of Amazon & DMR Disney Coupons plus Price Tracking

so this sucks, I ordered it at 34.99 -5 dollar disney coupon to bring it to 29.99. Then I was able to take advantage of the 8 dollar deal if you bought another disney combo pk, so they dropped the main price to 21.99 - 5 dollar coupon for 16.99.
I tried to get an additional 5 dollars off due to the pre order price guarantee yet amazon told me that 16.99 was the best price they could do and they couldn't discount it farther which pissed me off.

Since I don't have prime i am pretty much done buying off amazon directly due to this but i will still buy from sellers since they have good prices on music and movies. I just can't believe that they won't honor the preorder price guarantee at all for this

Not sure how you contacted AMZ, but contact them again. Your order price was for the item minus coupons and promotions - neither which affect the final price. In reality, you should see the $5 credited automatically anyway.

I contacted them though chat and the guy in chat told me i had to speak to them over the phone which i did and the lady on the phone told me that 16.99 was the lowest she could go on muppets combo pk

Wait, so did they give you the same $5 coupon twice? Or did you have two different $5 coupons?

I had the 5 dollar coupon that was around when the movie 1st was for preorder on amazon and then 8 dollar promotion for buying another movie for the muppets. they never refunded my card for the difference but they did give me a 10 dollar credit instead

So your total should have been $21.99 after $8 and $5 promotion but they gave you an extra $5 to lower it to $16.99. Then on top of the erroneous extra $5 you wanted another $5 off? Am I misunderstanding? Was the $5 promotions two separate promotions or were they the same one deducted twice?

1st it was 29.99 after the 5 dollar coupon. Then with 8 dollars off other promotion they dropped the price of muppets to 21.99 but when.u factor in the only 5 dollar coupon the price comes out to 16.99 before the movie dropped to 24.99.

Sorry, man. Just trying to wrap my head around that. It seems to me $16.99 was the right price since you only had one five dollar coupon that they applied to your order. The second five would be the drop from $29 to $24. I don't understand why you would be upset with them for not giving you another five on top of that.

I mean, if it was $29.99 after the five dollar coupon, then minus $8 for the buy two promo, then another five for the drop from $29 to $24, then the final price of $16.99 was correct.

It's the fact that they had to manually got and put the $8.00 promotion on to the order. When the $5.00 coupon was offered, there wasn't a "Buy The Muppets and X and save $8.00" promotion going on.

Always YMMV in 1) even getting a promotion like that applied and 2) having the title (in this case The Muppets) get adjusted properly if/when the price drops.

Lets see if this helps:

$29.99 (Initial Price when Jr ordered)
-$5.00 (Muppets Coupon, applied when ordered)
---------------------------------------------
$24.99 (Price Jr would have seen in order summary after placing the order initially)
-$8.00 (Since Jr got a CSR to apply the Buy X & Y and Save $8 promo)
---------------------------------------------
$16.99 (Price Jr was seeing in his order summary up until the recent price drop)

Since the price went form $29.99 to $24.99, that's $5.00 most of us are getting back (which brings the price down to $19.99 for most of us). Jr was hoping to get The Muppets for $11.99; but as I stated above it's pretty YMMV given the extra step already taken by a CSR.

He stated he purchased it at $34.99 initially. The way it's worded it seems he already received $10 off for a single $5 coupon. What should have happened was Amazon should have lowered his initial price from $34.99 to $26.99 and then apply the $5 coupon to make it $21.99. And if they were to give him another $5 off for the price drop, $16.99 is the correct price. As I said I'm not sure why he would be upset when he's paying what seems like the correct price. I think I'm misunderstanding this whole thing.

The breakdown that velmeran did is 100% correct.
So the solution to the issue was getting a 10 dollar credit on my account from amazon

I knew I was misunderstanding something. I kept thinking you ordered it at $34.99 initially from that sentence I bolded. Sorry about that. Just out of curiosity what other movie did you buy for the $8 promo? Hope you got good savings on that one as well.

I bought winnie the pooh and lady & tramp when they 1st came out so I emailed them and they gave me the credit since they could see I got 3 or more movies on the list when they came out.
Winnie 3 disc was 7.99. Lady & tramp 3 disc was 17.99. Tangled 3d was 11.99 and batb. 3d was 0.00.
So that is how I saved the 8 dollars on muppets wacka wacka combo
