Universal Soldier Blu-ray

Did a search and didn't see any official thread for it.

Man I was pleasantly suprised by how good this movie looks. I got this at Wal Mart for 6 bucks! I actually saw this in theaters when I was a kid and have always liked it. Both Van Damme and Lundgren are in top form.

If you don't have this Blu Ray and are wondering if you should upgrade do yourself a favor and pick this bad boy up!

Universal Soldier has always been underrated. For that matter, so has Van Damme. This was his first "large scale" production and He was well on his way to becoming an action superstar to rival the best, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Stallone, Seagal, etc. Funny how things ended up. This film always reminds me of what could have been and I feel it is one great picture.

Aye, it's a cracking action film. Dolph Lungren steals the show though.

And yeah, the BD is pretty solid all round.

i'm going to grab this after work. for six bucks can't beat that. here
some of van damme and Lundgren movies that need to be on blu-ray
van damme :
cyborg
hard target
sudden death
double impact

On those two, I completely agree. Be nice if all of them see the light of day but who knows. Would also like Cyborg to "officially" be released by MGM. I know there is some crap-ass directors cut out there. As far as the rest of the titles...Meh.

It was ok but not one of my favorite's of his. It was to overstylized by Woo in my opinion lol.

Talking about Cyborg, I remember there a film w/ Cyborg in the name than had Angelina Jolie, the late Jack Palance, and that actor from the 1st TMNT film.

It was a pretty bad film, saw it on cable back in the 90's.

That's actually the sequel, Cyborg 2.

I thought she did in just about every film she is in. She probably feels that she has to since her acting skills are rather mediocre. It's the same story with Halle Berry.
