MM is a decent actor if he gets the right stuff. He does too much crap, so it's nice to see him get back to movies like this. Saw this. Really liked it. I wish it were coming out in June, but at least there's a confirmed release date. Now we just have to get a release date for "Limitless"(which felt 20-30 mins too long, but was enjoyable nontheless).

One of my rare Day One buys for new movies. An excellent legal thriller and apart from Fast Five, the best movie I've seen this year.

Excellent movie - not sure if will generate further movies with this character (as McConaughey
would like; he Loves this Character), per what it did at the Box Office **, but him in more Serious roles (like this) is Usually a better choice (for him), which gives Us, a better film.

** Budget was $40 Million, it only did $60M Worldwide ($55M Domestic, just $5M overseas) **

Would've been interesting to have a commentary on this involving Connelly, however according to The Digital Fix the extras/specs are:

• English 7.1 DTS-HD MA; English SDH
• English and Spanish subtitles
• "Making the Case: Creating The Lincoln Lawyer” featurette
• “Michael Connelly: At Home on the Road” featurette
• ”One on One with McConaughey and Connelly
• Deleted Scenes

Hopefully, the UK version will be identical.

curious if this will come with a sleeve!?
the artworks which were published so far didn't show one, but its a
lionsgate blu/dvd/digital combo pack, so i guess the chances are
very high. as far as i recall the next three days announcements
never showed a sleeve artwork either and the final product ended
up having one after all.

Didn't expect much from this -but I liked it to a point. McConaughey keeps picking bad projects so hopefully he'll start picking better now.

I kept thinking they forgot to edit down the film in several scenes. Far too much stuff needed excising for me.

Definitely worth a watch though.

So I pre-order at $28 bucks and am waiting for the price to drop. Now it's pre-ordering at $36. Craziness.

So good to see McConaughey in a proper film again. The days of Contact, Lone Star and Fraility were starting to looking like a long lost memory.
