So, I'm trying to get all worthwhile comic book adaptations (and even throwing in some that people would describe as awful), here's what I have so far:
Just Ordered:

Waiting for The Superman Motion Picture Anthology :P
I was also thinking about that one, since I already ordered Daredevil. Last edited by megafan999; 05-11-2011 at 10:06 PM. |

So funny you've just made this thread, I made a list last night of all them so I could collect them. =) But yeah, this is a great idea, that way we have the list all in one place.
In terms of comics, your list is missing Blade, Blade II, Blade: Trinity, Catwoman, Jonah Hex, Spawn (Canada release),The Spirit and Surrogates. Thor is still to be released whilst later this Later this year, they'll also be Cowboys and Aliens,X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern and Captain America: The First Avenger. If you are going to count Watchmen, that means you're including graphic novel adaptations too. So that means you'll have to add Men in Black, Men in Black II, Priest and Road to Peridition (possibly based on a comic?). Oh, also, I'd recommend Battle Royale. It's currently only a UK release but it's based on a very good Japanese manga series. Or it's based on the novel, which is also very good. Either way, that gets a recommendation from me. I'll update if I think of anymore. Last edited by MokaBear; 05-12-2011 at 01:39 AM. |

Well, then we'd have to start moving to Ghost World and Persepolis. But I think the OP is interested primarily in Superhero films.

Well, if you want a complete list of movies based on graphic novels/comics, it shouldn't be. But Persepolis is more of an animated film than a live action movie. Plus, it's hardly comparable to even the worst of the above list (i.e. Elektra). I, for one, found it unamusing and unentertaining. Personal opinion though and I respect others will love the film.

I keep hoping The Shadow will see a BD release in the U.S. It is one of my favorite live action comic films as if my avatar didn't already tell you that.
