So I guess it'll be the same current BLU, just packed with a DVD as well.
Bat-Mite: "Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots then the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy."

Batman: The Brave & The Bold - Legend of the Dark Mite.

It will almost certainly be the same disc, so I won't double-dip just for a Digital Copy.

If, for some reason, they were to create a new disc that included the Director's Commentary from the original DVD, that alone might make me re-buy it. A new retrospective cast commentary would be amazing as well. I don't even need new bonus features or even a new transfer necessarily.

I'm fine with what I currently own, unless there's something extraordinary added to this.

My DVD of this film has the artwork signed by Kristy Swanson & Alan Ruck (in person, no less), so I'm fine with keeping it.

Why was the commentary not included on the original blu?
did the late John Hughes not want it on there?

The last DVD release was missing the John Hughes commentary as well. It was a very good commentary that I enjoyed listening to on the DVD. I really think it should be included this time, especially in light of Hughes' passing.

It would have to be far supereior and I mean FAR superior in PQ for me to double dip. Other than that I'll keep the original blu that I bought on it's release date.
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."
"Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?"

"With pleasure."

I do hope it comes with the director commentary. If it doesn't then I guess I'm keeping the copy I have on DVD.

It does list DTS-HD MA...and the original release is Dolby TrueHD, so maybe it is a remastered disc? If they redo the video transfer, or add any new material, I'll double dip. This is one of my all time favorites.

I'd much rather Paramount give us Planes, Trains, and Automobiles instead of another useless re-release.

I'll probably double dip especially if the commentary track is included. I thoroughly enjoyed his commentary track on the first dvd. Plus, we could get some more John Hughes supplements because of his untimely death.

I still need to pick up this film on blu, so I'll probably snag this re-release.
I mostly come out at night. Mostly.
