Okay, had a long day but it was easy enough. Had some beef curry for dinner but no beer, and too tired to go to the store. Watching the second disc of Shogun right now.

Looking at some BDs. Seems Christmas movies never drop far enough. People will buy them because watching them are tradition, so paying $15 or $20 is acceptable. Movies like a Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation are just too much, also the reviews for AQ and PQ aren't great, so hard to spend the cash to upgrade. Anyway, about 3 weeks till Black Friday, hope some will be on sale then.

How is your day looking?

Right now it's OK but in an instance we could be really busy. It's the nature of the job.

Hey there Al,

Thanks for egging me on. Yeah there was definitely a Mexican trend going on lately. But just wait until Thansgiving, there will be a LOT of gourmet cuisine, and plenty of pics.

Yeah you and Wabo need to try out the gourmet burgers, they might not be Bobcat Bite delicious, but they're not too bad.

1 day left for this long week. Gotta do some reports in a bit, will have no time tomorrow. After a few more beer, the honesty will flow. "Little Johnny is a real pain in the ass. I have many questions about his upbringing, ..."

I saw that. I predict you are going to be worthless today at work. You are really going to like Captain America. Recommendation....crank the LFE by 3db.

Thanks Patrick. They put the walnut version of the ULS-15 (which I already own two of) on B-stock for only 999. That's a saving of 300. Could not pass that up.

Congrats on the new sub HTG! A third ULS is going to have your house rocking. Are you going to break out REW to find the best spot for it or do you already know where your going to put it. I'd be very interested in seeing what your in room response looks like.

I think he should. If it were me having a "lesser" sub in the midst of the other great subs would bug me.

It would bother me also. I wouldn't think the 12 would really be in-sync correctly with the 15s. Calibrating them all probably wouldn't notice a difference with the odd sub in the mix but it would bother me nonetheless.

High Sean and Eric. The 12" is between the recliners and acts like a transducer. It is a Bass Reflex subwoofer. When there is an explosion or a hard hit on a kick drum it rattles the chairs. After talking with Pete @ Hsu he actually recommended that I hold off on buying their MBM sub if the present sub is still doing it's job. You got to give credit to a sales person who tries hard not to sell you something. The sub is getting up in age but Pete said I should hold off on replacing it until it fails. In my room and situation there really is no compelling reason to have 4 true subwoofers. The ULS-15s role is to provide the less then 20Hz content at + 100dB and the old Velodyne is to provide the "Kick in the Chest" response.

So you'll be using 5 subs altogether? (3) HSU 15, (1) HSU 12, and the velodyne right?

No just 4. 3 ULS-15s and the one that is still under the center table between the recliners. The expensive Velodyne will be repaired after the first of the year with a replacement amp and then I will attempt to sell it on Audiogon. If I can not get the asking price I will re-purpose it in the Master Bedroom. Unless you are interested in the HGS-12 Velodyne after I repair it?
