USA How do they get the movies that early

ive noticed that some movies have been reviewed a few weeks in advance. how do they do that. Is there anyway to apply for that.

it's kind of like how movie reviewers get to see things in the theater first. they get it early to review for us.

This is correct. The reviewers are sent "screener" copies. Sometimes these aren't the final/finished product that you buy at retail. Sometimes they have an on screen message stating they are not for rent/sale/etc.

In some cases, they may be sent the finished retail product as well.
