Awesome news, but I would prefer the movies seperate! I hope the PQ is at least good. Part 3 is my favorite and deserves its own release.

Would have preferred individual releases as well, but just getting these films out is good. Hopefully the rest follow and Paramount might re-look into the Friday the 13th sequels.

Awesome. Part 3 is one of the three best series entries, and aside from the script written fruityness, part 2 actually had a serious scary Freddy and the best Freddy makeup in the series.

I hope Warner retains the bonus material from the collection DVD boxset for this release rather than make it a bare bones affair.

I agree Freddy's makeup looked the best in part 2. I like the sweaty look to it.

I'm happy about the news. Looks like that time when all the Halloween releases start getting anounced. Cant wait to see what else is around the corner. Already on Sept. 27th are the two Elm Streets, Basket Case, and House by the Cemetery.

About time! I have to presume this is a prelude to a combo release of 4/5 and 6/7. A box set or individual releases would have been preferred, but I'm just thrilled things are finally moving. Take heed for Friday the 13th, Paramount!

Also, who else besides me has Dokken's "Dream Warriors" going through their mind right now?

Freddy's Revenge doesn't have gay under/overtones. Hasn't every red-blooded hetero male bailed out on sex w/ a hot chick in her parent's cabana to spend the night at some well toned jock's bedroom?

While I have no hope for special features for either film, I won't be too upset as long as the PQ/AQ is handled well (and the keep Dokken's "Into The Fire" in pt. 3 where it belongs. That track they replaced it w/ for early HV release/TV broadcasts was simply dreadful).

......and when they get around to it FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN THEY PLEASE GIVE US THE UNRATED CUT OF pt. 5?!?!? My VHS copy is on its last legs (I'm afraid to even play it anymore).

agreed they need to make the special features more manageable then the maze on the DVD box set though and I'd be in

Sad they don't release a box set, but they are smart to release # 2 and 3 together... #2 alone would probably not have sell very much if it were the case.

I'm still struggling with the need of buying # 1 and this new # 2-3 double-feature or to wait a probable box-set in the future with all the movies + extras...

I love these, and I have been putting off buying part 1 due to expectations that a boxed set is in the works, but what if it's not!?
