With the UK releases of both pushed back to the fall, I wonder how these will compare?

Wonder if these are Canadian exclusives? I doubt it, but who is putting this out anyway?

Does the US blu-ray release contain the lost '87 Charles Band film, The Evil Clergyman (starring Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton and David Warner)? If not, I will stick w/ the UK release as it's been announced as a special feature for that edition.

I preordered castle freak from importcds 2 weeks ago when I saw it come up on the site even though I couldn't find information about it anywhere, I just hoped it was real and that it would arrive! Please let it happen! I bought the full screen dvd for $2 at a pawn shop at random and loved it and I would love to have a widescreen bluray! Great price too!

Im guessing the biggest difference here between the US and UK version will be lossless audio. For whatever reason Full Moon hates lossless audio. Also the UK version always has a nice reversible cover and a little booklet. Im sticking with the UK version for all those reasons even though we probably won't see it until June.

Although the UK release was delayed because they said they had an interview with Jeffrey Combs. So it stand to reason the US disc won't have that either and maybe not the evil clergymen.

I'm almost positive they wrote on Facebook that it was an interview with Stuart Gordon.

Wonder what is the cause of the delay for The Pit and the Pendulum, at least I got an email from Amazon UK to tell me that it won't be release in may...

Same here - plus, the UK price is actually only a dollar or so more than the US one, even including shipping. So additional extras, booklet, lossless audio, and reversible cover art for a buck more sounds pretty damn good to me. How do the 88 Films transfers compare to the US ones? I'm not up on the Puppet Master series.

Well the one for the first Puppet Master was actually better. They used the same master of course but the US Puppet Master was MPEG-2 where the UK one was MPEG-4 and it does show. Not to mention it had a UK exclusive commentary , lossless audio and booklet/reversible cover. The other 2 in the series are pretty much exactly the same transfer wise and extras wise however again they get lossless audio while their US counter parts got DD 5.1, I have no idea why. Oh and no disc rot(look up what happened to the US Puppet Master blu-ray).

and this is why I'll stick with 88 Films for all Full Moon releases....
"Don't be stupid, this is way more entertaining than Hollywood's ever gonna be!" - Revy, Black Lagoon

"I'd buy that for a dollar!" - TV Show Host, Robocop

What really happened to Farscape!

looks like this really was too good to be true. Blu-ray.com removed the release date for Castle Freak & Amazon has no delivery estimate by my order...normally if you pre-order something from them & use 2-day prime shipping, they've already sent it a day before it comes out & provided a delivery estimate even before that.
