Dick Tracy Blu-ray review

In a recent interview, they screened a new HD transfer of it and he talked for a while afterwards. He doesn't seem to want to step on any Disney toes by going into detail about the release, but they are working on it.

Last year marked the 20th anniversary and I doubt if they are working on it now that they will be waiting until 2015 for the 25th, so maybe it will just get a general release. I'm speculating.

I loved this as a kid. Now, I appreciate it more for the terrific cinematography and production design.
The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass... And then you see it. White shores... and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

Will keep the fingers crossed that they can release the full length cut. Always wanted to see that.

Um...yes please! I'd own this on Blu Ray if it was bare bones. That's how much I love this film.

Al Pacino? Best comic book villain of all time as Big Boy Caprice.

Alright! Hopefully this doesn't take too long to actually happen. I love this movie and I think it would look great in HD.

I don't know that anyone's ever detailed what it included, but the rumor always was that Beatty had a 135 minute longer version and Katzenberg had him cut it back. Not sure if that's true or not, but I think that's the longer version that mckee74 was referencing.

It would be cool to have some nice HD gallery scans of all the publicty matieral for the film. Trailers TV Spots etc. I still have my Newsweek and Time D.T. covers!
Stop the Replacing of original Studio Opening / Closing logos! These are becoming endangered and should be kept intact. They are part of film history.

Why is it so hard to find a copy of "Reds" at a decent price?, the only store in my area that even has it is FYE and they want 24.99 + tax for a brand new copy of it!
