Is Paramount going to release a $5 Off coupon for this movie like they did for Rango Blu-Ray+Dvd+Digital Copy? If they are, does anyone know when they are going to release it?

Quick question re the Thor 3d disc - will it play in a 2d setup like the Dreamworks films? I have Oppo BD93 and when the kids are watching I set the 3d output to 'off' and the film plays in 2d.. now the question is will the 3d disc play in 2d? I have been offered the 3d disc from the set by someone who doesnt have a 3d setup.. but its value would be less to me if i cant watch it in 2d.. All 3d discs i've tried like this work fine apart from the disney ones - i have to put in the 2d disc to watch in 2d..

I will bet this is a TV settings issue and buy it day 1. Perhaps the reviewer tried this, yet he made no mention, and a simple solution works on other dark 3D films. Normally, I keep color level at 50, but this film calls for 75, 80 at least.

Remember the real source of the transfer, the director. He made the visually gritty "Frankenstein" film (the darkest mainstream version, IMO), and he does the Shakespearean stuff. I imagine he had a hand in the transfer and opted to tone down the color, to a level many of us will simply have to adjust on our TV sets.

I agree, "Thor" had the most fun & class & depth of all the summer films, along side X-Men.

Given the 3D release includes the 2D version on a separate disc, I'm guessing the answer is "no". For the best, really, since apparently the 3D transfer is darker than the 2D transfer.

Have decided to just get the 2D version. Read too many not so good reviews on the 3D version.

I had just watched my neighbor's 2D copy. I thought it was a great film. The freeze giants look like Freddie Krugger kin though. And I'm quite glad there is no naked butt shot on the protagonist. That always ruin it for me.

I'm talking about the likes of Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Gerard Butler on their biggest films.

Will buy the 3D though when it drops in the teens.

The FutureShop Canada coupon is useless to me because there would be no way to exchange the movie if it was messed up and also it would be more expensive at FutureShop.

I've told Amazon about it from three accounts- if anyone feel like it, it would be great if they actually pm'd that. Combine with the IM2 discounts, it would make the movie crazy cheap.

Did anyone get this from Kmart for $22.99? I don't want to drive 5 miles to a Kmart and get denied a 3D Thor when a Target is one mile away.
And does it come with a slip?

my local kmart only had the 2d version. the ad in the store was for the 2d version only. I did take it over to target. they didnt go for it.
I have not tried best buy yet.
