I thought the photography was wonderful, but the Samuel L. Jackson narration was corny and just plain awful

I was hoping for a mid to late August release. Guess they kinda wanted to put this beside the release of the Lion King blu-ray.

The trailer I saw for this (on the Tron Legacy BD) had the best picture quality I have ever seen (non CGI).

Saw this iat the theater and liked it a lot. The narration is cheesy most of the time, but the images are amazing. I'll probably get it if there's a coupon.

Really enjoyed the first three Disneynature movies and will definitely pick this one up.

Does anyone know if there will be a coupon?

Also, earlier this year in France they released a 5th Disneynature movie called Pollen (Hidden Beauty - North American Title). Any one happen to know if they plan to release this one to theaters here, or will it go straight to Blu-Ray/DVD like Crimson Wing : Mystery of the Flamingo did?

yeah, I want to get this too. But Oct 4th is turning out to be one hell'of an expensive day. Iam looking at picking up Lion King 3D, BatB 3D, Fast Five, Pulp Fiction, Space Jam, and African Cats. Iam definately hoping for ALOT of coupons. But I still think someones gonna have to get left behind on release day.

I bet Best Buy will have a promotion tied to the Lion King so I'll likely get both.

I don't really like the Lion King but one of my kidz loves it.

BB Promo is Buy both Lion King and African Cats and receive $8 off. there is a $5 coupon for Lion King but none yet for African Cats. And there most likely will not be one for AC.

so if you get the standard Lion King Blu ray combo pack (19.99) + African Cats (19.99) - 8 for buying both - 5 for Lion King Coupon your looking at $26.98 + tax.

if you did the Lion King Pre order collectible case thats another 7.50 off the total which would be 19.48 + tax which would be 21.04 for me.

$10.52 a piece is def a good deal. i have not seen African Cats but i'll give it a blind buy.

Yeah, sometimes you get a cashier that doesn't care, but in my experience, they usually do.

So I heard a rumour some time ago that some version of this (the UK one?) would have Patrick Stewart as the narrator instead of the failure that is Samuel L Jackson. Anyone know anything further?

True and not true. the DMR Coupon is for the 3d version only.

the subway $5 off coupon is for either version.

and yes like detroitsportsfan said, some cashiers do not care. i have used a 3d only coupon on a 2d version multiple times. most recently with gnomeo and juliet. as long as the picture is the same they dont read the coupon. just look to make sure the image is of the right one and then use the coupon.

disappointed DMR didn't offer a coupon for this. I would've bought this along with TLK at best buy on release day to get the $8 off. Oh well, guess I'll wait for it to get cheaper on Amazon.
