Awesome! I have all the Spotlight Collection DVDs, but they're missing a couple of shorts, so hopefully when this Golden Collection is said and done, everything is accounted for. With this set containing 40, they should also be able to finish this up with 3 sets, which hopefully we won't have to wait for for long. Then it's only a matter of time before we start seeing Looney Tunes, Droopy, Popeye and more.

I have these on DVD and look forward to how great they will look on blu-ray. I hope they do a good job on them.

I'll be happy as long as I get all the ones produced by Fred Qui mby. I hate the Chuck Jones' cartoons.

This is good news, but I wish Disney would do the same, not a big fan of the WB cartoons.

Really surprised WB's delved into their classic shorts and decided to release TOM & JERRY before a Vol. of Looney Tunes. At the same time it would still be a very cool release. I never puchased any of the old T & J DVDs so this will work

My older brother was a big fan of this show growing up as a kid. It was one of his favourites, only bested by GI Joe.

I know what I'll be picking up for him as a either a belated birthday present or a Christmast gift this year.

Haha, thanks, Regular Show's awesome. You know who else thinks that's a sweet avatar?

Anyway, looks like its actually 37 shorts instead of 40, but it also says that they're remastered so that sounds good to me. Can't wait! Now where's my pre-order page Amazon?

ALL the Spotlight Collection shorts on DVD are uncut, except for ONE. The reframed shot of the Cannibal. I can live with that.

Man this is going to be so awesome. Was just thinking about T&J on Blu-ray the other day

WB hasn't given the best treatment to the T+J cartoons in the past. I wonder how they'll look for BD/how badly will they DNR them?

Disney's done a good job with transfering some of their shorts on BD. I expect WB to do the same. And please UNCUT, get it right first!

Update: Warner released the supplemental materials for this set, and they include:

Commentary by animation experts on 9 titles
Retrospective featurette "Vaudeville, Slapstick, and Tom and Jerry"
Previously unavailable-on-DVD short "Mouse Cleaning"

The two cartoons on the Robin Hood bluray look great. Better than Disney's color goosed and overworked "restorations" by a longshot.

The sole inclusion of Mouse Cleaning leads me to believe this may be the definitive sets. If that's there, unedited, everything else should be fine.
