I've got this gorgeous set from Amazon at the latest reduced price, and, well, I keep wondering... Am I being thick, or there is really no information on the production date for each and every short, neither on the booklet nor the discs' menu itself?

I know this is an old thread, but still... no one?

Well, the cartoons are presented chronologically, from 1940 to 1948. I don't believe the BD has the production dates listed on the discs. If you want that information you can get it at this blog on the MGM cartoons filmography: http://www.thadkomorowski.com/mgm-ca...uction-number/

Thank you!

Actually, the production date info for all shorts in this first volume is provided even here, on this very same website review, but I find it so odd WB not including it anywhere that I was doubting myself.

September 25, and we now are on July 27th. Very strange why theres been no official announcement. And people thought that Warner was done with there October slate, maybe theyll announce more stuff.

I heard that this wouldn't happen till 2013, glad to see it happen. However I don't like that Warner released it so quietly

Wow big and pleasant news. But why no news for the US release? Should be on pre order here too.

Sucks that 'Tom & Jerry: Volume 2' is not coming out until 2013 but good news with 'Looney Tunes: Volume 2'

I am new to this forum so go easy, I want to purchase this collection on Blu-Ray and live in the UK and own a UK PS3. When I look to order this title on Amazon it is an import from the USA and says it is region free. I know it's been discussed before but can anyone tell me if it will play on my PS3 in the UK. I have never purchased an import Blu-Ray and so many sites say they will not play on UK including Amazon who say you need a region 1 player. I thought I would get it from the horses mouth so to speak

Can you still buy this with slipcover? I ask as I wish to purchase it for a family member for their birthday and would like to give it to them with slip (I already have one with slip so if it is not possible I will give them that one but you know, rather not ).

I haven't seen a slip on this release in a long time. I ended up with a slipless copy.
