Default Troy: Director's Cut

Has anyone else experienced audio issues with Troy: DC? I'm referring specifically to the first 20 minutes or so ... the audio cuts in and out. Very annoying.

EDIT: My audio is connected with the digital audio cable, plugged into a Pioneer SX-315 receiver. I was using the Dolby Digital.

While it's true the music cut in and out, the dialogue went from "normal" to almost inaudible. And, it was only for the first 20 minutes or so of the film.

I am going to go with fine here too... Did you use Dolby Digital or PCM? What kind of player and reciever are you using? How do you have it connected?

i think what u might be referring to was the score of the movie that is cutting out. And if so the reason it is cutting out is because it is a directors cut and new scores were added and taken away for the way wolfgang peterson invisioned it.

The score wasn't really cutting out, it's just they did quick fades and edits of it.

You should read the end credits where it lists several musical cues

I hated this movie. HATED IT! but after hearing about how the pq sq are amazing and that the DC is soooo much better than the original, I just bought it. if this movie still sucks I will hold everyone here personally responsible and demand that everyone paypal me $0.50.

hopefully the audio works too.

I saw that, I also didn't like them using Planet of the Apes. I was like "... What the crap?" when that came on. Gabriel Yared wrote this awesome piece of music for where they used Planet of the Apes, and it was much more emotional than Horner's "original" score that followed Planet of the Apes. I think one of my biggest complaints about this movie (aside from the acting/directing, but really I think it's more the director than the actors) is the music. Gabriel Yareds score was very very good, and then it was replaced (due to sounding to generic and typical) by James Horner's typical "we've heard this a thousand times from you" score. Which then was replaced by music in other movies (kind of like Kingdom of Heaven, except Harry Gregson-Williams' score was still used in most places).

While I think the Director's Cut is better... I will be sending my 50 cents soon Seriously, I think in order for this movie to be good it has to be entirely remade with a different director (like Terrence Mallick, could you imagine how great this movie would be if it were from him?!)

I liked this cut of the film over the theatrical release. The only thing I don't like is Brad Pitt. Not a big Pitt fan. But the sacking of Troy in the new release is really incredible.
