Great news! Now, Body Double should be next in line for a blu-ray release.

I still have the original flipper for 'Body Double' so it would be a very welcome upgrade. Probably my favorite DePalma flick, with 'Blow Out' being a very close second.

BTW I'm totally in for 'Dressed to Kill'.

I have the DVD as well! Body Double is a clever, and intriguing movie. It kept you on the edge of your seat from the beginning, to the end.

Default Awesome Cover Art

dressedtokillbrd.jpg

Just hoping the Scarface is in fact a sticker and not part of the cover art that would be annoying.

Since Criterion isn't doing this title then maybe that leaves open hope for a remaster of Sisters sooner than later! :-)
Stop the Replacing of original Studio Opening / Closing logos! These are becoming endangered and should be kept intact. They are part of film history.

Yeah, and besides, I thought dePalma was the director of Carrie!

(Seriously: If you only know dePalma as "The director of Scarface", here's a Criterion copy of Blow-Out; crack open a window, get a haircut and a job, ya danged pothead. )

This is proving to be a good year for De Palma's films on Blu. Blow Out on Criterion, Obsession and Scarface due out in the Autumn and now Dressed To Kill as well.

Now let's hope Sony releases Casualties Of War soon!

Exciting news. I too was hoping that Criterion might pick this up after the great job they did on Blow Out....but it should be in good hands with MGM/Fox. Love that cover art, too.

I really hope MGM puts out a quality BD, transfer wise--but I'm not all that optimistic. MGM consistently puts out the worst looking BDs.

Dressed to Kill is probably my second favorite De Palma film, just behind Body Double.

I've been pretty happy with MGM catalog releases lately.

The Manchurian Candidate (1960) and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) look very good. Maybe not Criterion/Taxi Driver good but very good nevertheless.

Platoon and Some Like it Hot have gotten excellent reviews as well.

Obviously time will tell but I like our chances.

I think you meant to say Universal. Most MGM BD's look good to excellent.
