I imagine that's just a placeholder. Still, I cannot wait until this is released on Blu-ray.

Brilliant news. The list of catalogue titles I've most been anticipating grows increasingly small, what with the announcements of this and (fairly recently) Straw Dogs and Control. Should Paramount opt to finally release Chinatown in the near future, the vast majority of my favourites will be on UK Blu-ray!

Oooh thought I'd be waiting a long time for this. Remember having this on VHS, then getting the DVD when DVDs cost 19.99 from HMV. Be a shame not to get it on Blu-ray too. Hope it's a decent transfer.

Amazon UK lists the 2-disc DVD extras as the special features. I hope this is true. As Universal's discs recently have sometimes eliminated the DVD extras... But I'd like to know for sure. Hope it's not a copy-paste job.

If anyone gets this release tomorrow, let us know.

So the extras from the Special Edition DVD were definitely ported over? Groovy. I was afraid they were going to pull a Candyman and that this would be another barebones affair. I'm unsure as to when I'll be buying this as self-gratification has come to a temporary halt, what with Christmas shopping, but I reckon it'll be mine early next year. I adore this film.

Unless it gets outrageously cheap I think I'll hold out to see what Criterion do.

Default What blu-ray regions will it play in?

Does anyone know whether this blu-ray U.K. release of Quadrophenia is region free or at least playable in regions A and B ? I'm in the U.S. and I'd love to buy it if it is. Thanks!

Thank you for all the posters who helped me. The UK release is region free disc, but as Criterion has now released a domestic U.S. version with great supplemental materials, I feel I won't need to get this release now.

Checked the packaging and the disc and there was no information about regions on there, so can't help I'm afraid.
