Okay, I thought things were getting clear when RJ sounded like he understood everything with the AVS forum thing, but then the rest of the post makes it seem like he's just as confused as I. none of horizonline's posts made any sense to me . I don't mean to call horizon one, the term doesn't completely fit anyway, but just "don't feed the troll" I guess.

Well, erm... Super 8 isn't a Day 1 buy for me, very few things are, but I will definitely get it as soon as it gets around the $15 mark.

And what does that have to do with your post in response to mine? Sorry, I'm still not getting it. You said that you "had nothing to do with HP 7.2." Like I said you were responsible for something.

I thought you were interpeting my post as "insider information". Yes, I am banned from AVS for that reason. I do not have insider information regarding HP 7.2.

I'll be passing on this one. Its the most disappointing movie of the summer for me, just because I'm such a fan of Abrams and Spielberg. The payoff was just a big letdown. Especially after having to listen to loud kids for the whole movie.

[Show spoiler]If they only would have said that the creature was related to the monster from "Cloverfield", it would totally change my perception of the movie and would make me give the filmmakers a ton of credit for making a prequel without anyone even knowing about it. But since it isn't, it just comes off as a lazy creature design who's cgi is totally out of place in a movie whose whole theme is being a throwback to the 70's and the movies of the time.

i agree the whole trailer is featuring the kids and only the kids. Kind of a give away that the movie centers around the kids making a "Super 8" movie. Another dead give away. i mean what was he expecting

Which it does. Walmart and other retailers mostly web based have it dated for the 30th along with multiple insiders saying the 30th for transformers.

I'm sure somewhere it says Picture represents movie poster or promo material. And not actual cover.
