Talking Best Panasonic, Best LG, Best Samsung, Best Sony.

GUYS, EXPERTS, i need ur input. Which is the BEST Panasonic Plasma that is near the same as the Pioneer Elite Kuro models? I read that last years plasma was close to it but it dies after a year and that was from A LOT of people.

What's the BEST LG, SONY AND SAMSUNG LED & LCD models? I want to buy the best of EACH of these models but not sure if LED will be better than the LCD version. I'm looking to get sizes from 50" to 60". I really need people that KNOW about this so they can break each one down to me before i spend on these. I was looking for the older LG SCARLETS as i saw these were the LG top of the line models but they are hard to find and i'm not sure which model is the best. I read the sony xbr9 was the best of the sony's but that has a lot of bad reviews as well about the same complaints. Talk to me Techies

I think he is actually from avsforum. I've been there a couple times and his response is exactly what I've seen over there.
If I were in the market, and I'm not, I would be all over Sony's 65HX929 which may be out this fall.
Good luck hunting!

Plasmas: Panasonic TCP65VT30 or Samsung PN64D8000.
LED: Probably I'll go for the UN65D8000 cause the thin frame is so sexy.

Toshiba UL610
Panasonic TC-PVT30
Samsung PND8000

I actually bought the un55c8000 led samsung and although it did look sexy, the picture looked like it was a pasted Picture. Wasn't looking as real as the xbr's or the samsung 650 750 or 850's. Let me look up the one's u guys have suggested, thanks a lot

The closest you'll get to the Kuro without spending $5,000 is the Panasonic VT30 series.

I know i haven't found anything better than the kuro's. I did have a 500M and the 111fd but i sold them because the 111fd had major picture scaling issues and i had no warranty on it and it was going to be a premium to fix it. the 500m was damaged during my move from brooklyn to florida and even though it was under warranty, they said they don't fix the tv's if they are not natural tech issues. I'm gonna get the 101 to upgrade from those two. If i can't get one then i'm going for the vt25/30, which ever is closest to it without it going out after a year like read about the vt25's.

Well i read whatever i could find on all these great recommendations. I might be leaning more towards the vt30......unless i can get my hands on another 500m 0r 600m without having to pay 5-10K for one. I did find a 101 for 4k.

Look into the LG 55LHX. It is a full array local dimming LED set with a wireless media box. It is probably the best set they have ever released.

Thanks, i just finished reading a few reviews and did a little research on this LG. I'd love to see a comparison bet. this LG 55LHX and the Pan. VT30. I'm assuming the VT30 would look more Realistic and less cartoonish then the LG Lhx would. I love the REAL look over the cartoon or pic which looks like a bright cartoon was pasted on the screen like i had on by samsung 8500 before i got rid of it. Man how much i miss my Kuro's. I've been looking for the best runner up for a WHILE, since my kuro and elite went bust.

Just go with the VT30 (unless you have a blank check and really want to get a Kuro because there's a retailer in BK that's selling Kuros: LINK but I'm not sure how reliable they are but since you're originally from BK, you might have heard of them).

Thanks man, yeah i know where they are at and who they are. I was going to buy the 101 from them....they sell on ebay as well. The prices PLUS TAX in NY is retarded, which is why i am trying to find a perfect runner up, which was why i was looking at the vt30. I might go with the vt30 and the Newer LG. Still doing research before i pull the trigger. THere is another store in florida near miami that also has a few pioneers but they want and arm and 2 legs for it.

Google+ is taking over

I always wanted a Kuro.....Why did they stop making them, wasn't it profitable? Eitherway I hear excellent things about the Panasonic mentioned above and would probably go w/ that.

Very few people can afford the Kuro line therefore they were not selling much. That's why Pioneer stopped the line and sold the technology to Panasonic.

Actually, the manufacturing facility was outdated and the process to build them, because of that, was not very cost effective. Plus the economy wasn't doing that great and some people couldn't justify the cost because they didn't see that much of a difference.

U'd think by now that panasonic would have figured out how to utilize the kuro technolodgy to the fullest already since they already know how it was built and have the blu prints, no? Y is it so hard for them to get it?

They are too proud to use the Pioneer driving method and most of the other stuff cost too much. I know that some don't believe it, but it was said from a reliable member over on AVS that it only costs Pannasonic about $400 or so to make a plasma (including the big ones).

Honestly, from what I'm reading from the posts at HDJ by Robert from Value Electronics, you should look into the Sharp Elite 60X5 or 70X5. He says it goes toe to toe with the Pioneer Signature Elite 141 in a dark room and knocks it out in a well lit room. Robert posted a pick on his Facebook page but had to take it down, but the pic made the Sharp look fantastic. If you search for it, you might be able to find it on AVS.
