Default Question about eBooks

If I look at a computer screen for awhile, I start getting a headache. Are the screens for eBooks(Kindle, etc) easy on the eyes for long periods of time?

When buying a eBook can you use gift cards to buy the books? Or do you have to use a credit card?

I can only speak for the Kindle, but it is so much better than reading off a screen. I read a lot at work and even after hours of reading, I have no more eye strain than I would reading a physical book.

Again just speaking for the Kindle since I've owned one since Feb 2009.

With Amazon if you have a gift card on your account it will always take money for books off the gift card balance before trying to use a CC.

With the newest Kindle 3 screen it is extremely easy to read with no strain for hours on end. I have had a few marathon reading sessions of 8+ hours and it's just like reading a paper book. The important thing when looking at e-book readers is to get one with an e-ink screen rather than an LCD screen to keep from getting eye fatigue.

Here's a comparison of the screens on the third generation kindle and the second generation kindle that I did side-by-side on my scanner when I upgraded. Screens look even better in RL over the scans.
