Now that this is over we should make a list of everything to discuss for next year as I assume there's a good amount of things on the table for next year first and foremost being keeper league or not?

Next year I'm going to auto draft. Moviefan has managed to make the playoffs in our nba league and this league using the auto draft.

Let the Stanley Cup playoffs finish then we'll worry about Year 3, I'll open up a thread probably 2 months before the season starts and we'll go from there, plenty of time figure things out until then...

But it would be a no to the keeper league, want to keep the league how it is right now, getting new players every year

Thanks buddy. No rush on the gift card. Guess the first thing though is we need to make sure everyone is back in for next year. I am thinking most will be.

LOL, I can't believe I managed to pull that off!!!!

I had almost written my season off after that draft. I know it worked this year but there's no way I'm doing that again... it was a pain in the neck. Grabbing a top goalie in the early rounds for sure.

Agreed.

Even though I'd have a massive edge with a keeper pool, keeping Malkin, I'm fine not doing a keeper. With a keeper, someone is bout to get shafted every time, and I think it will turn off some people here. I understand maybe you, Beef and all the others with no crazy valuable players wouldn't want it. But if we say no to a keeper now, then I think it should be the case for as long as we run the league. It can be the opposite for many of us getting unlucky with our high picks next season and getting screwed for years so it wouldn't be fair at all to say no now where it works out for some and not be able to say no then if the roles are reversed (right now it's convenient for some to vote against having a keeper). For simplicity's sake, I think no keeper might eliminate all the headaches.

I remember seeing before though that there are keeper pools where you get to have a dedicated spot for a prospect that you can hold on to for as long as you want. Not sure how that works, because I keep hearing people holding on to really new prospects in a keeper. Something to look into I guess. I've never played a keeper so I don't know what the different types are.

Or maybe we can have our own rule where the player you choose to keep must be drafted past the 4th or 5th round or something like that? Just an idea.

I wanted that win bad, but after last year I'm pretty happy with the improvement. I hope you guys with bad records this year can see that it's not too hard to turn it around.

Yeah, I got the last gift card from R3P0 yesterday. Thanks again to everyone.

I haven't spent any of it yet. I'm looking at a GoPro. I should probably save it for future use for something useful though.
