In other words, the ones that were already playing on streaming Vudu/PS3.

Still, I never did get around to getting a copy of "Meet the Robinsons" when it was in 2-D.

Looking forward mostly to Chicken Little, but I'm in for all of the above. Does this complete the promised list of 15?

Good news to me, since I was contemplating going to e-bay to pick up a copy of Bolt 3d. If I can just hold out till November I'll be able to get the "complete" version.

I'm wondering that too. It seems to me that Disney would be overloading the average consumer if they released 9 3D movies at the same time. Makes me think Toy Story and Up may be next year... though I hope its just later this year.

Guess I won't be getting rid of my old Toy Story and Up Blus anytime soon...

August's nothing....Mid-October to early November is the season you WANT to release mass-blitz shopping-season catalog-tentpole titles.
Don't write the year off quite yet, with four months to go.

Yup, these showed up today in my retailers database, joining the toy story films and Cars 2. Up isn't showing up though, so it's still up in the air, pun intended. Looks like Disney may be having a "3D day"
so that they can advertise and promote. I'd expect it will be a "buy more, save more" promotion at Best Buy similar to the Fox exclusives we had this past week.

That would be 8 3D Titles in one day! Excessive, but exciting...

A 9 3D movies in one day release would be truely epic especially with a buy more save more deal to make them all affordable

Still it just seems to good to be true

I'll ask it again, just like I did back when Disney put out their first two or three Blu-rays:
Why are we so excited about Chicken Little? Wasn't it, like, annoyingly bad, that made you take back all the mean things you'd ever said about Dreamworks, and the ground-zero aftermath of the movie's flop was instrumental in finally getting Michael Eisner kicked out of office?

(But I might rent G-Force, though.)

I have little interest in either Chicken Little or G-Force. G-Force Im embarrassed to admitt I did pay to see in 2009 for no other reason except that it was in 3D when 3D was rare. Now with 3DTVs all over the place and 3D movies far more common I would never feel the need to go to a 3D movie I would otherwise have no interest in just because its 3D.

Chicken Little may have been a weak animated movie (not the worst of its genre but still weak) but it was the first movie released with RealD 3D digital projecters and it did help launch the modern 3D proliferation. So it gets a thumbs up from me for that.

How Id rate these movies

Chicken Little - C
G-Force - C-
Meet the Robinsons - B-
Bolt - B

Uh, didn't "Polar Express" beat it by a year, thus directly giving Disney (and soon the rest of the industry) the idea of "How to save dead-in-the-water non-Pixar CGI comedies"?
Or was that IMAX-only?

(Either way, don't tell me you're going to see that one too, just because of a loyalty to history.)

Here's hoping we get the originally-included 3-D "Working for Peanuts" included as an extra--
For those who can convert SBS, or switch to anaglyph:

(For that matter, let's hope we get any bonus features included on the 3-D disk as an extra.
I've only got Tangled 3-D, but did any of Disney's other commercial releases besides the original "demo" version of Christmas Carol contain any 3-D bonus features or trailers?
I keep thinking that "Experience 3-D!" ad they keep putting on the 2-D disks was shot in 3-D, but as I haven't found it on any of the disks yet, I can't prove it.)

That was IMAX only but its success also had a huge part in getting modern 3D started

Chicken Little was the first to use ReadD projecters

I'll get Bolt and Meet the Robinsons. Both were fun flicks.

Given the choice between these movies and the Toy Story trilogy though, I'd rather have Toy Story.
