Need your opinion..Paradigm Monitor 9 v.6 pic

Hello all...I have a chance to trade and 150 bucks for my Rti10's and my Polk Csi6 center for some Cherry Paradigm Monitor 9 v.6 and a center speaker..Is it worth it?

Are Paradigm Monitor 6 V.6 sound good? Thanks

I would ask the person to bring them to your house for audition. if that's possible. then you can decide what you like best, why does this person want trade them?

+1....need to listen first...then make up your mind.....if trade is small and they are to your liking then go for it...

There on CL and he said his Girlfriend doesnt like them So hes looking for a trade..i have to drive to his place about an hour away..

What "kind" of sound do Paradigm put out? detailed? straight @ yea? would i be downgrading?

You'll really need to decide that yourself. Imo the monitors are a little bright when compared to other paradigms, but so are polks, so it'll really be what you think of them in terms of if they are better then your RTis. I don't think they'll offer much extra detail. Speakers in this price range are all usually pretty similar. Just will depend what you like the sound of best, and if they're worth the extra $150 for you

I am with Callas on this , i notice the difference from the Monitor line and the studio line from Paradigm , if it was the Studio line i would do it right away .

Hmm..ok thanks guys.. i guess i just need to hear them 1st..i'll let you know my outcome..BTW..For me,the polks arnt bright @ all..Maybe its just my old hearing or my Adcom Amp that takes the "brightness" away..I heard some B&W @ BB and i thought those sounded bright to me..lol

Well i bought them..The guy really didnt want to sell them..But he needed to pay a house bill he said.. So he really needed the $..SO i traded my rti10's and csi6 center an a 100 bucks..

The Paradigm Monitor 9 v.6 and THE Paradigm CC290 center..So far,i like them alot" the cherry wood is nice looking"..i havent listened to anything..just TV,kids asleep..so tonight i'll try out a Blu movie and see what i think..
