Default Alan Parker films!

I'm a huge fan of Alan Parker films, but sadly I have not seen any of the ones I want on Blu-ray. This kind of surprises me as some of them are classics, and I'm sure many of you have them in your DVD collections (as do I).

Here's a list of films he's done, and I've bolded the ones I'm most interested in getting on Blu-ray. How about you?

Also, can anyone shed any light on any of these getting the Blu-ray treatment?

Melody (1971)
Our Cissy (1974) (short film)
Footsteps (1974) (short film)
The Evacuees (1975) (TV)
Bugsy Malone (1976)
Midnight Express (1978) - Blu-ray released, right?
Fame (1980)
Shoot the Moon (1982)
Pink Floyd The Wall (1982)
Birdy (1984)
Angel Heart (1987)
Mississippi Burning (1988)
Come See The Paradise (1990)
The Commitments (1991)
The Road to Wellville (1994)
Evita (1996)
Angela's Ashes (1999)
The Life of David Gale (2003)

I will have to look into seeing more of his movies.

I liked Fame and I've seen the Wall maybe a hundred times. One of the impressive things about the Wall in particular was Roger Waters had other directions for the film but Alan Parker was able to keep control and move the project to where is worked best.

The Wall, The Commitments and Mississippi Burning are my three favourite flicks of his, and I can't wait for their Blu-ray release. I'm not confident it'll happen soon as I've heard nothing at all from anywhere.

great director, need those three on blu, The Wall being 1st priority!

Even though he's British, most of his films were shot in the US and A.

For the longest time I thought he and guitarist Alan Parker (also a Brit) were the same person, that Alan Parker is most known for playing on this classic
!

Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us—if at all—not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.
