Nice, an X-Mas idea for my wife. She'd love this.

Interested to check this out. The movie loses me hard when the candelabras come out of the water already lit.
The rest was at least mediocre and had moments where it did it's thing just fine, but that song had me laughing so much that I turned it off.
Now running in 3D with the LG Cinema 3D (nominally showing 3D in 1080i per eye) 47LW6500 (up-or-down-or-side-graded from a 50" Sammy 3D Plasma) and a Benq W1070 and a 100" screen, and controlling it with a Harmony 880.

If you didn't like the music in the movie, it's more of the same here. The candelabras come out of the water already lit in the movie as a nod to the way the staging changes in for the theater version.

My wife is a theater teacher so this is a must.

So far it's only listed on Amazon UK and it's marked as being region B. Curses. Hope we get a US Version.

Hope so--The stage version was miles better than the overacted, underblocked movie version.

Being that it's still running in NYC after all these years, I can't believe they don't have a Region A version yet.

It's still running in London in the West End as well so I doubt they'd have any problem releasing it here. It'll be playing in movie theatres in the States this Sunday, and I'm excited to see it. I believe the recent release of Les Miserables came out a little earlier in the UK than in the States. I would be surprised if it weren't released in time for the holidays.

Has there been any sort of press release for this in Region 1/A or are we just assuming? One thing I'm happy about is the release of a soundtrack of this show. As controversial as Love Never Dies was, you can't deny Ramin and Sierra were perfect for their roles and with their soundtrack, it'll be perfect to listen to POTO and LND back-to-back with that continuity.

Now if only they had filmed the London Cast for the LND DVD release.

I just got back from the live Fathom events showing. Was a great show and everyone was wonderful.

[Show spoiler]One disappointment. No dropping chandelier. It just sparks where it is the whole time. Dunno if it was technical difficulties or a problem with the Albert Hall having such a high ceiling. Sarah Brightman came out afterwards and sang Phantom of The Opera. Michael Crawford made an appearance as well, but didn't sing. In fact, the whole surviving original London Cast was there.

This will be great on blu-ray. Looking forward to the blu of Love Never Dies as well, seeing as they are saying it will never tour in America.

Seeing the fathom event on Wednesday with friends I used to work with (who work at AMC, so guess who gets in for free). Really can't wait to see it. And something I should have mentioned before: I wouldn't be surprised if an official announcement for the Region A release is made sometime in the next week or two.

I actually remember hearing something about a Phantom sequel, but didn't think it was so close to completion or something of the sort.
