I'm predicting 1080i transfers all around... and like mentioned above, the Jackie Chan releases would STILL be better than the Kam and Ronson ones (visually speaking... still cut though).

No coverart posted yet and they are all listed at $18.86 a piece.
Note the distribution studio is listed as Platinum Disc Corp.
Anyone ever heard of them and if so do they do decent BD releases or shit?

I am going to say that's it two BD25s with two movies on each. And I am just guessing, but it'll probably be like this:

Jackie Chan 4 Pack:
Disc 1: Operation Condor 1 & 2
Disc 2: Project A 1 & 2

Children of the Corn 4 Pack:
Disc 1: III & IV
Disc 2: V & VI which was all ready released as a double feature

From Dusk Till Dawn 4 Pack:
Disc 1: 1 & 2 which was all ready released as a double feature
Disc 2: 3 & Full Tilt Boogie

Hellraiser 4 Pack:
Disc 1: IV & V which was all ready released as a double feature
Disc 2: VI & VII

And the Dracula 4 Pack:
Disc 1: Dracula 2000 & They
Disc 2: Dracula 2 & 3

Jackie Chan dubbed the US version of Operation Condor. But there is a problem with the Dimension releases in the US.

Operation Condor as US audiences know it is actually Armour of God II while Operation Condor II as US audiences know it is actually Armour of God.

In other words, the films were flipped for release in the States and the only one confirmed to have Chan doing the English dub is Operation Condor/Armour of God II.

Paramount was only distributing Hellraiser III for Miramax. The contract agreement for distribution must have voided when Disney sold off Miramax.

I'll grab any Jackie Chan on blu, even dubbed ones add a ridiculous quality that you can just laugh at. I just wonder if one day anyone will champion these films and put in the effort to restore them properly. They are worth it.

I'd step up to that challenge if I can get my studio off the ground. While I do think that their releases for Don't Be a Menace and From Dusk Till Dawn are great, I just learned how to take screen caps from Blu-rays and was shocked by how poor a screen cap from The Crow: City of Angels is. I have posted several screen captures here. Scroll down past Zack & Miri and click on the scaled down image to view it in 1080. In my honest opinion, I think The Crow: City of Angels looks great in motion, but I didn't think the screen caps would look that rough.

Out of the four Jackie Chan films in that set, the only one that received a theatrical release was Operation Condor... now while I would think that would have the best chance of a good looking transfer, let's not forget what happened with Supercop. Friggin' soft cropped-to-1.78 transfer. At least Armour of God is already close to that at 1.85, plus it was filmed open matte, so we at least wouldn't have to worry about losing image.

Meanwhile, Project A has had an HD presentation on IFC in 2.35, so there's some hope for that one as well. Not the most detailed transfer, but it doesn't look like an upconvert. So, as of now, the only ones to be concerned with in regards to OAR would be Operation Condor and Project A 2.

Twin Dragons was OAR but it plagued. And I mean PLAGUED with dirt and everything under the sun. I'll have to take some screen caps to show.

Yeah, I heard that Twin Dragons was in 2.35 while Supercop was cropped... couldn't figure that one out. TD has never really looked that good to begin with

I'm very intrigued about Armour of God (er, "Operation Condor 2"... pfft...), as the only official DVD I have is the non-anamorphic Dimension films DVD... don't judge, it was one of the first DVDs I ever bought I also have a custom based on the IVL DVD, and while it's anamorphic, the contrast is a little too "blossomed", and the colors seem a bit off. So while it'll be cut and dubbed, the video quality should be the best available... maybe...

So, Echo Bridge knows they've done irreparable damage to their name and are going with a new label?

I'm still kind of exited about the prospects of seeing the Operation Condors in HD, even though, knowing what the domestic dvds look like, and having seen a number of EBs dvds and BDs for myself, my expectations are abysmally low. I wish China would put out more proper BD releases of Chan's international films, like they did for The Accidental Spy. It's not reference HD, but at least they got the film specs right and the movie isn't truncated for arrogantly presumed, short attention spans.

Also, "They" has nothing to do with vampires; I don't know why it would be included in a "Dracula" collection.

I wonder if I could just pick these up in the store or if it's an online exclusive deal. But I will probably buy them all.

They is because it's a "Wes Craven Presents". And Echo Bridge was originally called Platinum and for some reason, outlets still refer to them as that.

Yup, and Platinum were the ones that used to put out shit budget 4:3 dvd releases of movies like The Gate and The Wraith. Looks like they haven't changed their standards.
