Default How much does your pawn shop pay you for DVD's?

My small hick town has three pawn shops and all three only take DVD's for $1 now despite how good condition they are. When I asked why, they said "because everyone has Netflix now."

About a year ago they took the DVD's for $2. Now it's $1. I sold 15 DVD's to them for $15. I figured, what the hell, better sell them before they only take them for 50 cents. Because DVD's are becoming worthless now.

They were mostly old full screen DVD's I had for 10 years and some DVD's I blind-bought and hated.

I still have about 80 DVD's left that I need to upgrade to blu. Some of the DVD's I'll keep because they prob won't get a blu release for awhile.

But $1 for a DVD is ridiculous. I keep mine in perfect condition. Whenever I do upgrade every DVD to blu, I think I'll pawn most of them and give the good DVD's to friends that might want them. I rather they have them then the DVD's be sitting in a pawn shop.

So how much does your pawn shop take DVD's/Blu's for? I hardly go to the pawn shop but Blu isn't too popular in this hick state so there's mostly DVD's in our pawn shops.

They're all just sitting in plastic tubs. I have no room and they're worthless, which is a shame. You can't really sell them on Craigslist or eBay now because every one is dumping them there and most of them want $1. I would like $4 myself since I've kept most of them in top shape, and I mean most since I bought a lot of used copies.

I have +200 DVD's and I could live without most of them I can get no more than $1 for them so I don't even think its worth selling them..
