Halloween vs nightmare on elm street vs alien which looks better

i want your opinion on which has the best pq from the these in order, and explain why

heres my choise

nightmare on elm street 1984
alien 1979
halloween 1978

Odd combo, but i'll throw in:

1) Alien
Despite the new color timing, this is from 1979 and it looks like it was just shot yesterday. An insane level of detail, with extremely fine grain that doesn't obscure any detail. And the black levels are some of the inkiest i've seen on any blu-ray, ever.

2) Nightmare on Elm Street
Still incredibly detailed, but at times has some slightly obscured detail due to the cheap film stock and heavy grain. The blacks aren't anywhere near as inky as Alien, but there's still very little crush going on.

3) Halloween
Not a bad looking transfer at all, but its color timing is NOT approved by Dean Cundy or John Carpenter (i believe it's the transfer they used for the Divimax dvd release). Major fail on Anchor Bay's part releasing that version rather than a remaster of the Cundy approved one they used for the THX dvd release.

they was only some slight grain on the blu ray of nightmare on elm street, and that was only in a few dark scenes which still it looked great

Alien looks the best. Best detail and clarity, best depth, best color rendition, and it's from a 4k scan and master. Halloween comes in at #2 despite the non-THX and non-original color timing, and ANOES comes in at a respectable 3 (and it the only 1.85:1 film among the three).

Alien looks the best, hands down. all three are strong transfers though.

none of them have more grain than the other, but from what i remember NOES has the more instances of noticeable grain particuarly during darker scenes. nothing that isnt supposed to be there though.

Tough one. I'd go with HalloweeN first because there are a lot of day scenes. Alien in 2nd, and Elm in 3rd.

All 3 are excellent either way. MUST own on Blu-ray.

because anyone can write a review, and not everyone is a professional reviewer that knows what makes good PQ that is an accurate representation of the source. the reviewers for this site game Alien 5/5 Halloween 4.5/5 and NOES 4/5.

do you think nightmare on elm street blu is the best it can ever look or is there any room for improvement? also i keep hearing the future is 4k and i was wondering if this movie would benefit from 4k

i think there is room for improvement, but it would be so minimal that it probably wouldnt make much of a difference. same goes for Halloween. Alien, however, is perfect. as far as 4k is concerned, any movie would benefit from it but i dont think most people would know the difference.
