He did, and the result, a drama written bySupernatural creator/executive producer Eric Kripke, has gotten a pilot production commitment from NBC. Like most things J.J., details about the project titled Revolution are being kept under wraps, but it’s being described as an epic adventure thriller. It hails from Abrams’ Bad Robot production company and Warner Bros. TV where the company is based. Abrams, Kripke and Bryan Burk are executive producing.

This is the second high-profile project for Kripke this season. The writer, repped by WME and Principato-Young, also is writing/executive producing an adaptationof the DC Comic Deadman for the CW and WBTV. At NBC, Bad Robot previously produced short-lived spy drama Undercovers and had an action drama penned by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec and starring Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn set up at the network with a put pilot commitment last season.

Sounds great, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Abrams's production company being involved means nothing to me, but Kripke! Now there's a guy who can turn out some quality.

A little odd that they decide to completely change how the mother is going to be in the show after the Pilot is already filmed with her in it.

It happens a lot. When they were setting up episodes of Grey's Anatomy for a potential spinoff, they had their cast set. But when they got their spinoff, they recast one of the actresses.

If you look at the original cast photo for Castle, Castle's blonde ex-wife was going to be a regular and they had a different actor playing Detective Ryan. Of course, they actually reshot the Ryan stuff.

I think one of the biggest shifts in actors would be when Dirk Benedict took over the role of Face in the second episode of The A-Team.

The actress doesn't dictate whether the character is in the present or in flashbacks.

It looks like it should be pretty interesting. Hopefully it sticks around and doesn't get canceled. I don't want to get attached to more new shows that are doomed to be cancelled after one season.
