Next to the Pixar films, the films released during the "Disney Renaissance" are my favorite. Pocahontas is one that stands out for me, however a lot of people think it was when Disney started getting worse and I don't understand why.
I wish they would have kept "If I Never Knew You" in though. These 2-movie collections seem like the only way they can cash in on the cheapquels. Of course they force you to buy the other if you want the good film. I'm pretty much expecting it from Mulan. I've never seen Pocahontas II, but I might as well since it came with the movie. I almost consider it a special feature.
I have the following codes to trade. I only trade for UV codes and I do not sell:
Project X (UV), Paranormal Activity 4 (UV), Twilight Breaking Dawn 1 Extended (iTunes), Twilight Breaking Dawn 2 (iTunes), Twilight Breaking Dawn 2 (UV/iTunes) |

If nothing else, the songs in Pocahontas 2 are actually quite good. And while the animation can't compare with a big budget feature, for a sequel it's animated well.

got my copy today from amazon the case the spine was slip down the middle almost totaly busted in half. second damaged movie i got this week from amazon. wish they would stuff them bubble mailers were the sun dont shine they provide no protection. amazon did replace though at no cost told me just to toss the old one. also gave me $8 promo credit and after i placed an order for something else the waved the shipping cost on that order.
the guy said he would forward my info to the packaging people so mabey that will help them stop using bubble mailers but i doubt it. i left 1 star feedbacks on all the shipments. |

I wrote them an email to let them know that those bubble mailers are a poor way to ship Blu-rays. I don't want to have to ship mine back and then wait for a new copy, so I'll be taking mine to Target or somewhere to switch it out for a new one. "When you wish upon a star

I know most of us were not particularly happy with getting the sequel bundled. But now, as I am watching the 1st movie, a part of me is excited to see it nonetheless. I liked it as a kid, so maybe I'll see what it was that made it good enough lol.

i dont care that it came with both movies. but i would have rather they tossed out them dvds and used 2 50 gb bluray discs for each movie. lots of contries in europe got each movie release seprately on 50 gb discs why couldn't the us get the same. or at least 2 50 gb discs in 1 package would have been fine.

Colors of the Wind sequence looks and sounds amazing. The Savages sequence as well. Very rich and vibrant colors. It's not as spectacular as Beauty and the Beast, for example, but as it's not a diamond release, I wasn't expecting it to be. Diamond or not, it looks absolutely fantastic. For years, I've described Pocahontas as under-appreciated. Hopefully this Blu-ray release brings it more attention and brings more people to appreciate it. Even if you don't like the story, or the characters, or you have whatever issues you may have with it, Pocahontas should be owned purely on the fact that it looks and sounds so good. I like the menu screen as well. As expected, Pocahontas is sorely lacking in the extras department, which is a disappointment. Still, Disney did a great job with the film itself.
