I wonder what the run time difference will be between the Theatrical, and the Directors Cut.

I heard also that they changed the epic score during the ending scenes.. If this includes the Theatrical release as well I will double dip.

Just read about it as well! Can't wait! I got to see this version on On Demand back in the spring and really enjoyed it, especially since they finally used Shinedown's "Diamond Eyes", which was in all of the trailers. They actually used it twice: once during the final shootout and the during the end credits.
And yes, this version is around 10 minutes longer, and there are snippets of new/alternate footage peppered throughout the film. |

If the new cut is really better, I'll gladly double dip. It's not a great movie, but it's fun as hell, and great to watch with friends, etc. I got the first release on release day, then PMed for $12.99 a few weeks after, so no big deal.

SPOILERS... However, I'm still irked that Stallone didn't move the scene where Statham faces off with the guys on the basketball court to the end of the movie after finishing their mission. If you pay attention, you'll see the outfit he's wearing in that scene and the outfit he wears in the final scene of the film at Tool's are the same, as the basketball court fight was probably meant to take place closer to the end of the film. Pacing-wise, this would've worked out better as closure for Statham's character, rather than being placed abruptly in the middle of the film. But that's just me |

I enjoyed the theatrical version more than the extended cut that ran un Epix. It does bring a lot of new small additions through out the film, plus some alternate footage in place of the original footage. But there are more changes in the soundtrack, and I enjoyed the theatrical score much more. If it's the same version that ran on Epix, I'll just stick the theatrical version I bought. It's the one I'll view most anyways.

While we wait two months for the official release, here's the alternate opening credits sequence:
Before anyone asks, the song is "Sinner's Prayer" by Sully Erna. Apparently Stallone originally planned to use this song in the theatrical cut. But I guess once this version of the credits got lopped out, so did the song. |

Didn't he cut some of the violence due to a few bad looking CGI blood effects? I actually prefer the extended cut because of this.
