I'll likely pick this up sooner or later, depending on the price.

I have the DVD, but I wouldn't mind upgrading.

I have memories of watching this movie with my dad. My parents divorced when I was very young (I was too young to even remember the time when they were married), and I would see my dad a lot on weekends. A lot of the time we would rent movies and order pizza. We watched this movie at one point, and my dad enjoyed it, but the way that Corey Haim had his mouth hanging open most of the time drove my dad nuts.

Then when the DVD came out, there was a bonus feature on it that had a then-recent interview with Haim where he mentions how his mouth is hanging open a lot thoughout the movie. I laughed when he said this. I later told my dad about it, and he thought it was hilarious.

Good times and good memories.

I think we should celebrate by having a fun game of "6 degrees of Nina Siemaszko"!

Definitely almost anything Corey's related is all nostalgia, although i do think that License to Drive is a decent enough movie.

DALD just reeks of amateur hour to me. I get the nostalgia aspect, but i'm surprised that anyone could enjoy that movie outside of the nostalgia factor.

wow can't wait! This is my favorite Haim/Feldman (The two Corey movies), this and the Lost Boys! Day 1 for me for sure! This movie goes on my top 30 movies of all time. Now I want The Wild Life, Three O'Clock High, Spacecamp, Born on The Fourth of July, and Sidekicks on bluray!

Do we still need to question if a blu will be an upgrade from a DVD!

I mean I understand if the price to upgrade is an issue, that's fine. But if you don't feel that this will look & sound worlds better than the old DVD release, c'mon!

I became a major fan of Heather Graham after watching this movie. I may be picking this up when it came out.

Three O'Clock High is a great movie!! Glad to hear of another fan...it seems not many people are familiar with it. One of the smartest, funniest movies of the 80's.

Oh, and just to stay on topic...I will DEFINITELY be picking License to Drive up on Blu Ray. Back in the day, I was a huge fan of the "Haimster". I actually remember my dad dropping me off at the local theater to see a Sunday matinee of License to Drive. Loved it. I've probably seen it fifty times.

I hope the film Lucas eventually hits Blu-Ray. Great movie.

NATALIE!!

I wonder if this will have the SE DVD's features(?) Aren't Anchor Bay releases always barebones?
"Who is Guy..Meatdrapes? What kinda' name is that?" "Um..it's um..Medrapades sir, it's uh, it's Greek." "Well I think you're pronouncing it wrong. This says Meatdrapes." "It's actually pronounced, um, Medrapades." "Well why doesn't it sound like that when I say it? Meatdrapes."

There was Heathers from Anchor Bay which was Region Free. Region Free blu players are still quite pricey, when will they finally come down in price? Dvd players less than 5 years in their lifetime could be found for great prices.

The days when Anchor Bay issued regionfree Blu-rays are long gone. The change happened something like 2 years ago, and that was after Heathers was released.

I got an extra Region B Philips BDP3000 for a decent price and changed it to a Region A machine with a fairly ease DIY fix. That is probably the cheapest and easiest way to go Region A.

Awesome. This one is third-tier for me though so I'll wait for it to hit the bargain bin. But with its release, it begs the question: Now that we're getting Licensed to Drive, when are we getting Weird Science?

This is one of my favorites actually. I'm not sure why I never bothered to pick up the DVD! I'm excited it's getting a BD release. The transfer on the VHS is pretty bad.
