It isn't canceled, and there always was the possibility it wouldn't work out. It was never an extremely popular show to begin with. The show just got unlucky with the delays due to the debate and then the scandals with the "intense" stunts. (which seems like it was used to generate buzz lol)

It has been averaging around 7.1 million viewers for the five episodes it has aired, and for NBC, that is pretty damn good.

If you take out the first two episodes (the 2 hr premiere) it is averaging 6.0 million viewers which is still quite great for NBC.

Hey i used to like this show but now it is crap, it used to be about what would scare you to overcome your fears, not who can eat this random crap, seriously are we so bored we will watch people eat any crap for money that is disgusting.

Not originally, but now, yes. There are still four unaired episodes, but NBC has no plans to show them at this time. Maybe in the summer?
