Fort Apache Blu-ray Fort Apache Blu-ray Review OMG!! so excited! ![]() Next February, Warner Home Entertainment will release Fort Apache on Blu-ray. Directed by John Ford (The Searchers), this first entry in Ford's unofficial "Cavalry Trilogy" stars John Wayne (Rio Bravo) and Henry Fonda (Once Upon a Time in the West) as two cavalry officers at odds with one another over what they each perceive to be proper treatment of the Apache tribe. Warner has not yet announced the technical and supplementary specifications for the Blu-ray, though the previous DVD edition presented the film in its original aspect ratio of 1.37:1 with the following bonus features: Monument Valley: John Ford Country featurette Theatrical trailer Fort Apache streets on February 21st, 2012. http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=7724&page= . At any rate, great news!! John Ford, John Wayne, Henry Fonda, and even Shirley Temple. And someone who lives in the town of Cochise, near the Cochise Stronghold National Monument in Cochise County can't say no to a movie about Chief Cochise.

Wondering the same thing here. This is great news, but I find it a bit odd to release it by itself like this. Maybe Warner will surprise us yet soon announcing another classic western release for the same day.

Warner have promised 40 - 50 catalogue releases in 2012. In the light of this, I'm now wondering how many of them will actually be new additions to the BD catalogue.
Panasonic Blu-ray players BD65 (UK model), BD75 (Multi-region US model), Denon 2930 DVD player (multi-region), Pioneer CLD1080 LD player, Panasonic EX77 recorder, Denon 3808 receiver, Panasonic 46PZ80 TV, 5.1 speaker system: KEF Reference Model 3 (fronts), KEF Model 200C (centre), Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 (surrounds), SVS SB12-Plus (sub)

Love this movie and will probable pick this up. Another one I enjoy, which is a little underrated in my opinion is Rio Grande. The western the 3 of them had to do to get The Quiet Man made.
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?
