I believe in a supporting role, though.

This is very unexpected news. But very welcome.

I think, like most people, I checked this out years ago out of curiosity over it being the first Academy Award Winner. Thinking it would be a fun historical curiosity. But it's actually quite thrilling. It deserves to be remembered as one of the better films of it's day, along with the also nearly forgotten "Blood & Sand"

Hmm. It would be ballsy if Paramount put this out as part of it's Sapphire Series. It is a Best Picture winner.

Fascinating. I've always wanted to see this one, and Blu will be a perfect way to do so. Awesome catalogue choice, Paramount!

I will only buy this if they've replaced all the biplanes with digital Xwings and TIE fighters, and only if Jar Jar is in it.

Anyone hear anything new about the upcoming prequel on this one?

This is a real surprise, as every "When will Wings come to DVD?"-type discussion that I've read on silent film message boards has referenced what a colossal flop the VHS release was at retail for Paramount. Perhaps Kino's silent Blu-ray discs have done well enough to give Paramount confidence in releasing this film?

I was actually wondering that myself and If they want this series to be taken seriously, they would.
